United are away in the 1st leg of their Europa tie, so that's not a bad thing. If they move our game against Everton to Sunday or even monday, that would be much better.
Our match against United likely would have been moved anyway I'd guess and this way it can't be stupid BT on stupid Saturday morning. :)

Didnt want Barcelona again, sick of them by now but sure what about it. Its done now so we might as well look forward to it, these are the big games that we burst our bollix to qualify for every year, theres plenty other clubs who would love to be in our position

When is Wilshere and Welbeck due back? There 2 players that could really hurt Barcelona, especialy Jack when he is on top of his game.

Be nice if Wenger where to pull something out of the bag in the January transfer window.

I checked on Manutd.com (it is a horrible looking website compared to ours)
They play the second leg at home just before our game with them so hopefully they wont win handily in Denmark

Uefa says the first legs of the Europa League round of 32 will be played "in principle" on 18 or 25 February at 18:00 or 20:05 GMT but it will confirm the exact dates after the draw.

The second legs are scheduled for 10 and 17 March.

Our game with United is scheduled for 27th Feb, as Button said may be it'll be moved to Super Sunday or MNF.

    Not according to manutd.com

Due to United finishing as one of the four best third-placed teams in the Champions League, the first leg of the tie will be played away at FC Midtjylland's MCH Arena in Herning on Thursday 18 February 2016, with the second leg scheduled for a week later at Old Trafford on Thursday 25 February 2016.

Remember its last 32 so they have extra games to fit in

I find it hilarious how most fans of Utd and Liverpool are on social media slating us saying bye bye and we are gonna get stuffed against Barca, yet we are in this competiton to play these types of games against the best teams in world football in the biggest club competition on the planet. Meanwhile there teams are in the 3e cup playing the mighty Mitylljand and Ausburg :pac: :pac:

There'll be some moving around of fixtures. We're down as playing Swansea on the Tuesday after the United match and then Spurs the following Saturday. United have the Thursday match so our game will have to be Sunday and the Swansea game moved to the Wednesday. Probably then move Spurs to Sunday/Monday. Then again I'd assume both the Spurs and United games should be on TV so Sunday for United, Wednesday Swansea, Sunday Spurs (cops probably won't allow the NLD to be a night match).
Then the next week we're against West Brom unless we or they are in the 1/4 final of the FA Cup then the Tuesday it's the 2nd leg v Barcelone. Rough little time run there.

    Great draw Im delighted
Lets see how all this talk of progress, translates onto the playing field.
These are the sort of matchs, both fans and players should relish.
Straight into it, no messing about, we find out sooner rather than later how far we can really go..

We beat Barca and qualify ..signifies another new era for Arsenal and blows the CL wide open.
We lose and get knocked out, we concentrate on the PL race , having earned a few bob.

My big fear is Wenger tinkers with the team in the run up, trying to fit 'big name' players returnign from injury into the first 11 at the expense of players who are in form.

and also hoping this time we dont get a ref whos been bought off.

I'd love to see Wilshere back for this, he put on a masterclass against Barca a few years back.

We can't have another Monaco situation! We must take Barcelona seriously or we might actually lose this! :D

He will no doubt have to shuffle the team to fit in all the World Class players he is buying in January, but most of us will be fine with that.

No chance of complacency, which can only be a good thing.

Well it's not an ideal draw......

Think we have a right chance with everyone fit

While there front 3 are amazing we could really catch them on the break

Sit back give it to Ozil, and you have Sanchez Walcott and Welbeck breaking with speed

Have a feeling barca will make a show of us in the away leg. Think we could sneak a win at home. More than likely gonna be beaten over 2 legs.

    The tie's confirmed now

"#mufc's EuropaLeague tie away to FCMidtjylland on 18 February will kick off at 18:00 GMT, with the home leg on 25 February at 20:05 GMT.

so I guess our match with them will be super sunday match.

    Christ, Barca again.

Cech will be massive to us in these games also. He single handily made sure Barcelona didn't beat Chelsea in the Nou Camp the year they went onto win it. He could be a lucky omen for us, as I remember Chelsea weren't fancied either the year they went onto lift the cup (although I am a superstitious type :o).

Yep then Barca bid crazy bucks for him, he breaks down on his debut and plays for them for a handful of occasions :P

We are top of the league, we are top of the league!

Who cares about Barca. Realistically even if we beat Barca, Bayern or Real will do us later. Need to focus on the premiership.

I also have one hell of a hangover.

Not top for long!!! Ha ha.

I am torn though. Being top is great and the opportunity to go 4 points clear if we beat City next week is delicious.

However Chelsea are 18 ..... EIGHTEEN!!! points back from us now.

    I'm liking that too.

I know this Is reality but even I am optimistic In the Champions League, If you truly believe there is ZERO hope of us winning It then why do you even watch It?

Let's not forget Liverpool won It just 10 years ago

Just to add too, Wenger's record against Guardiola is P6 W2 D1 L3.

Now obviously Guardolia isn't Barca manager anymore but that's a great record given the respective personnel at each club.

When teams come to play football against us, we do quite well against them. It's the same reason we dispatched Leicester when they're causing others so many problems.

Fcuk can't believe that was a decade ago. Seems like yesterday!

Aleksandr Kokorin's move to Arsenal is a 'done deal'. The Dynamo Moscow forward is available at a knock-down price. (Source: Telegraph)

    Anyone know anything about him?

We've not looked solid at the back in a while unfortunately.

Do have the second best defence in the league though

Agree and i'd hate to imagine what the tricky Barcelona forwards will do to Mert with their pace and trickery on the ground. Really fearful for him in this particular game.
On the bright side, if we go out then we can concentrate on the league and give it our best shot.

Couldnt have asked for a handier draw. Hopefully we can rest the players for the second leg.
