Spurs could possibly Spurs it up against Newcastle (not even that lot could mess that up though...?)
    And Leicester could do Chelsea.
And Chelsea could go down to 16th...

    Oh that'd be nice :D

    Oh Spurs. Spurssing everywhere

    :D

And Chelsea down to 16th. Fierce pressure on them to get something out of the Leicester game now. Could backfire spectacularly :D

Spurs doing what Spurs do best.

And the pool being consistently average. Good weekend of results for Arsenal.

9 assists in 69 games for Couthinho. Just 4 more than Nacho Monreal has and our left back has played 10 games less

Yes fair enough but if you're looking for a guy to blem the ball over from thirty yards then there's nobody better than Coutinho.

You mean 'the best player in the league'.

Though I think when they say that they're actually just looking for arguments.

The Spurs and Liverpool results show just how tough it is to play after midweek European fixtures. Makes our result today all the more impressive, especially considering we started with the same first 11

And proves the great escape midweek - I mean escaping the Uefa cup - could be worth a lot of league points.

    Agree

It seems to me that Liverpool more than any other attracts a strange breed of follower.

Anyhow lots to be pleased about after this weekend's results. Roll on next weekend's crucial game

Fairly quiet in here tonight, what did people make of the defence today? Still looked pretty ropey even against Villa, Bellerin is going through a rough patch it seems and well Mert has been a bit of a liability lately too. We really do miss Coquelin.

Our defence needs a lot of work. Very shaky indeed. Some of them looked a bit tired too. They need to do a lot of work on the training ground imo. They all don't seem to be on the same wavelength.

It really wasn't a great performance tbh, just didn't think I should say anything earlier in case I got jumped. :P Villa are terrible so we didn't need to be that good today. Job done though and a week to relax. Though that'll likely mean a terrible performance next time out. :P

I really think a good team will cut through us fairly easy

Sliva will have a field day next Monday night, hopefully augero will still be out

One positive thing is we have played 7 home games and 9;away. City is the the opposite and their away record isn't very good at all.

As ropey as the defence looks, amazingly we have the second best defensive record in the league atm. Only United have concided less (1 less).

Also leicester have only lost one game this season. That's mental for that team. Think it was us that beat them too.

Yeah 5-2 It's certainly been a very strange and unpredictable season so far!

I thinks spurs had only lost once before today too.

    Really is a bonkers season

I'd gladly see Leicester back on top of it means they beat Chelsea

Just back in home after a long day. Home game, I'm back walking home after 20 minutes. Today I left the house at 7.00. Back 15 minutes ago. But boy was it worth it.

Away days are always good craic but an early goal always settles the nerves. Even better an another one!

Always days are so much better than home games.beer and passion.

I now believe we can win the league. I love Wenger but hate him for not spending.

The league is ours. Spurs ha ha ha ha. Chelsea ha ha ha ha.

    21st COYG!

    I believe

    49 49 undefeated
    49 49i say
    49 49 undefeated
    Playing football the Arsenal way!

Only got 3hrs sleep because of the McGregor fight which resulted in me missing the game.

We seemed decent but put the brakes on after the 2nd goal.

Campbell is much better on the right as he can cut in on his favourite left foot.

As opposed to his less favoured left foot? :p

    I believe guys.

AFAIK, we've been the best team in the second half of the season for the last two years, possibly more.

I know that means very little but whatever way Wenger does it, our fittness and form tend to be great over the last few months.

You might worry about players bottling it but I think if we get Ozil and Sanchez on the pitch for a run in, they'll lead by example.

They're definitely in the mix. Biggest worry for me is City getting their act together and blowing the league apart like they're well capable of. Massive game next Monday night!
