I watched that United game and I have to say I feel sort of sorry for them , They tried and they have a lot of injuries but that game is a damning indictment of the BPL at the moment Wolfsburg were simply a better team pure and simple

Uniteds failings though in fairness came against the poorer teams in the group, I only hope to god same doesn't happen to us tomorow

Sorry me b*llix! Spend a hundred billion quid then rely on Fellaini relying on an og to even draw??

Ahem. Anyway, I think we're gonna do it tomorrow, I really do. It could be quite a good night.

And before you say we'll probably do an Arsenal, which is more doing an Arsenal, going out in the group stage or a heroic pulling it out of the fire escape from the group stage, making us all believe again, and then a baitin from Wolfsburg (if we're lucky)?

In fairness our group isn't much harder and we're struggling too.

I would usually agree but we're fighting for our lives in a group with Bayern and 2 rubbish teams and already have 3 points gained against Bayern

We should be well home and hosed like them but we're not down to crappy team selections and performances same as them thats why I said I had sympathy because we could do the exact same tomorow night, I hope to god not like obviously and we didn't spend 250 mil either

Van Gaal's a t0sser too. Full of shíte about his philosophy.

Had to listen to many the United fan in my area boasting about how they were the standard bearers and how the club was all about winning (the club i might add went 26 years between 1967 and 1993 without a title), how standards would be maintained with Fergie gone due to the nature of the 'beast'. Im actually taking great satisfaction to see the shell that they have become. Fact is Fergie was their secret sauce who even won the title with dross + van persie in 2013. They've been pi$$ since.

All 4 of the english clubs have made a bollox of it. City have somehow managed to get top spot due to Sevilla beating Juventus. Chelsea and Arsenal might scrape through tomorrow but there can be no doubt all 4 have been sub par.

Dare I say it, the managers of all 4 might need to be shown the door. Incredible really.

Well job done for Pellegrini and we know that there is another manager who is relatively safe no matter what (Wonder who could he be? :))

Failure for Mourinho tomorrow surely surely signifies the end (although they will get through) while Louis is now pretty much staring down the barrel.

Briliant to see a new team emerge really and i do like Leicester. Counterattacking can be lovely to watch when effective. Sadly i think they will fail to maintain unless they buy in January because if Mahrez and/or Vardy get injured they are pretty much fecked.

There's nearly always a new team leading the league for so long and over-achieving. WBA were top a few years ago too for awhile.
They will drop away soon enough.

Anyone else actually want English clubs in general to do well in the Champions League? I couldn't stand Chelsea or Man Utd doing well, but I actually wouldn't mind City having a good run in the CL as long as it had no effect on their Premier League performance. I'm a strong believe (or rather was) that the Barclays Premier League is the best league in the world, and am a bit tired of the talk that it's gone to the dogs. I'd have to put La Liga above it this season, but I'd still title it as the second best. Just because we don't have a superpower in our league doesn't mean that it's useless. We have the Champions losing at home to a side just promoted. That illustrates just how competitive our league is. From 6th place to 20th, I think the Premier League is the best. Sorry for going a bit off topic here!

Being honest I love watching Leicester aswell but I also think there a product of the usual suspects being really poor this year

I definitley think once they lose one game that'll be it for them I hope not though I'd love to see them finish top 4 along with our old enemies Spurs aswell fresh teams might have a better go at it than the likes of United who on tonights evidence have almost taken it for granted

The thing is with the new tv money they might just have the bit more disposable cash so in this sense they may be able to sustain a challenge for the Champions league places at least.

WBA were doing well under Di Matteo iirc? Hull were doing well under Perma-tan too until his infamous spectacle at the Etihad.

I can live with City being successful to be honest. Pellegrini is a good man and they are nice to watch in full flight. The 'lottery winning' element is a bit of a bug bear and i hated Mancini but even with that toad Nasri i can put up with them.

Southampton were but had too small a squad alot like Leicester. If Leicester maybe added one or two quality signings id give them a chance of top 4 tbh.

Dying to slag a lot of united fans but keeping my mouth shut fir now we very easily could be joining them in the Europa league tomorrow.

Imagine if both ourselves and Chelsea end up in the Europa league? Soccer Saturday would be very boring!

Sadly, I've no confidence that we'll do it tonight, but I doubt I'll be too upset. The damage was done on game days 1 + 2! For entertainment purposes I'd love to see us give it a good rattle!
Just no more F*****g injuries please!!!

It's do or die tonight for me. If we don't succeed we get Europa League. That's the last thing we need.

I fully expect Arsenal to be in the Europa League draw. I think they'll win on the night but narrowly miss out!

Please Mr Wenger, Giroud up the middle, Theo on the right, Ox/Campbell on the left.

Yes, I feel the same - a win but not a big enough one to go through

We just need 3 goals tonight, no problem

I hope we just go for it, none of this cagey 'wait & see' rubbish, we need goals, so go at them & get them on the back foot from the start....

Of course this wont happen but still, given the circumstances would love to see AW throw caution to the wind & try to batter them. I firmly believe we're capable, even with the injuries but suspect we'll keep it tight & try to not concede a goal in the first hour & maybe then have a bash for the goals we need.

If their heads are in the game they'll do it. Come out and play as ****e as we have in the other 2 away games and we can forget about it.

100% Campbell has to start ahead of the OX. As it stands he's the better player!

I would expect both to start with Theo on the bench.

Journalists can get themselves twisted into knots trying to write a bad story.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3352481/Why-Arsene-Wenger-danger-losing-one-biggest-excuses-Arsenal-boss-s-Champions-League-record-stake.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

    Look at this for gibberish:

"Arsenal have had their fair share of difficult patches in recent times, having won just two FA Cups since their last piece of silverware – the same famous old trophy back in 2005"

How can the Cup in 2005 be our last piece of silverware if we have won it twice since as he says in the same sentence. Absolutely appalling stuff.
