Hi , looking at claiming tax relief on course fees from AIT. Revenue say tuition fees are claimable but not registration fees. My fee receipt shows Registration Tuition +Registration fees , both sums over 1500 e each. Can I claim for the full payment??

Is the course on the approved course list and is part time or full time?

    Simply put, you'll get nothing.

Registration fees are out. Then (if the course was this year), the first €1500 of your claim is ineligible to relief if its a part time course, rising to €3000 for full time courses.

So if you paid €1500 tuition fees, and the excess is €1500, there is nothing remaining to get tax relief on
