..... can't wait to hear the defence of LVG ... how did that donkey Fellaini manage to stay on the pitch... Powell jesus wept..... should have gone to the camera club :(

    What was wrong with Fellaini?
He was grand, why was he a donkey?

Not getting out of that group. Louis you should be ashamed of that.

I think LVG will get another season as planned. In my opinion, he isn't good enough for this club. Maybe in the past but not now.

Nah, that's just De Gea. Pretty much every game

At least Powell got a run out, gives me hope I too could one day play for United

Bizarre performance. Why are we suddenly going high press in huge matches against Arsenal and this one when all season we have been playing a possession game?

Spineless from the players to twice not keep the ball and stay awake after scoring.

As for the players: Memphis abysmal and not a creator, Fellaini a waste in a midfield two, Mata powder puff, Basti phoning it in, Darmian looks clueless after a promising start and a heap of young lads with no direction from their senior pros.

An utterly shockng CL campaign right from the qualifiers. Big changes needed.

Anyone criticises Fellaini for tonight's performance, I'm just going to assume they're some form of artificial intelligence that's been programmed to dish out football cliches.

United should have held onto Moyes until Klopp was available.

Are Glazers that crazy that they are really going to give LVG more cash to blow in the next two transfer windows,

So much cash spent already and still the team is very average.

    It's the end for him.

It may be a long game but he will be gone by the summer.

Bonkers subs tonight even for him.

It's so disappointing. Was so happy to have him take the job but it's gone tits up. The squad management in the summer was awful.

Yes I was delighted when he took over but he has really done a poor job when you look at the summer spending and how we are playing.

He really done a poor job of buying and I dont trust him with money going forward.

I think in the long run he will be a good appointment in regards of defence and changing the style of utd but I believe he isnt good enough to carry us to the next level.

Most of the players they bought, for huge sums of money, wouldn't get into the Wolfsburg team.

    When United ring up opposing clubs looking for players it's a real case of . . . . . . . . . KA-CHING

At least it was exciting, am I right? :o

I thought the camel could hold a lot more straw but a Nick Powell coming on for Juan Mata shaped piece has seemingly broken it's back as far as I'm concerned.

Not just a fracture but a clean break of the back too!

Just on Basti phoning it in, I thought it was odd at the start of the game that he was late out to the tunnel with all the players waiting, hadn't even got his boots on, smiling and toddling along. Not the ideal prep to get your "game head" on.

Tonight has done nothing but show me how out of touch with the current game LVG is. Something really does need to change and while I still back LVG, I wouldn't be sad to see him being moved aside for someone like Pep or Ancelotti.

Owen talking sense on BT and I am as shocked as everyone when I say that.

Tonight was just the coda, we lost this group in the earlier games. Still, squad planning and management, no need for much of that is there Louis?

Can somebody tell me if we at least won the possession trophy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,463 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Sack him now or wait until we lose to Sheffield United in the FA Cup. What to do, what to do indeed. :(

    Is jaykay74 & LVG done ? I think so.

Was thinking the exact same thing when he came on. Unforgivable.

Not sure who's to blame but definitely not Van Gaal. All bow to the Philosophy

Guess that's me then. He is not suited to the role he is being asked to play. Great hold up play tonight and was an out ball but hasn't got the vision, mobility or technique to be part of a midfield two.

Apologies for the crudeness, but Young must have rode someone's wife not to get a game ahead of Powell.

I dislike the fact he's starting all these big games for us. I think he's a grand player to come off the bench and control the game and show his experience but he's not good enough for these big games.

He just doesn't have the legs anymore and injuries have destroyed him

It'd be Giggs until the end of the season if he did go, right?
