Need to call in quickly this evening and get new bulb for bmw f10 - it's a halogen h7 12v/55w.

However on Halfords website there are load of options - any recommendations or advice?

    - Halfords €12
    - bosch €15
    - GE oem €15
    - Bosch (longlife) €20
    - Halfords superbrilliance €25
    - Bosch plus90 €29

I know I could order online but I need to do this evening so going with Halfords. Not sure about getting brighter ones as then I'd be better off replacing other bulb as would want them to match.

Was thinking just buying the bosch or GE for €15.

Halfords is probably one of the most expensive places to buy consumables like Bulbs, wiper blades, batteries etc. Can't see a local motor factors charging more than 7e for a H7

Bought a GE bulb at Halford's over the weekend.

They had a buy one get one free on a range of them. Like you I had thought about going for the brighter bulb but then knew I'd have to replace both, so said I'd only pick up one, but the BOGOF took care of that, so went for the brighter bulbs :)

Sure someone said Frank Keane's (at least) are continuing until the end of the Year. I'd say give them a call, but the service department are very difficult to get through to.

A pity the OP didn't check back here first but Murphy & Gunn are running it until 31st Dec:

I'm sure the other mains dealers are too.
