What though makes you think Blind has improved under Van Gaal?

He was a Dutch international and Dutch player of the year the season before he joined Man Utd.

By watching him play for 1 and half year and seeing how good he is playing as a CB rather than getting overrun as DM?

This is a c & p from Redissue Sanctuary. It's on twitter too.

Apparently Ed Woodward thinks we feel guilty at chanting Attack, Attack, Attack and are all happy with the standard of football as he hasn't got any emails from fans saying we're not.
We have discovered that a bullish Ed Woodward has been telling Manchester hacks that he has received no emails from fans complaining about LVG - unlike the piles he received in the days of Moyesy.
Perhaps some Reds would like to put him in the picture? Here's the work email he uses: ed.woodward@manutd.co.uk
And you can always leave him a voicemail on his work phoneline: 0207 484 1201

If you're not happy with the way that Van Gaal has the club playing football. Then a polite* email pointing out that this kind of football isn't what we're used to at United and that you're not happy with Van Gaals philosophy** or football might be the way to go.

*No this isn't a euphemism. There's no need for any abuse in the email (despite how much you may want to). It's better to keep it polite, and it'll have more impact and be harder to dismiss.

** The assumption that possession = attack, despite hardly any shots on goal. Also that anyone who doesn't like that automatically wants long balls in to the box. As evidenced by his quotes on Friday.
"But now the results are reasonable, or maybe very good, and now there is some times they shout ‘attack, attack, attack’ but we are attacking 70 per cent (of the game) because we have the ball!

“Maybe they want more long balls, more activity in the 18-yard box, yes that is possible."

Fair enough.... Why the need for two defensively minded midfielders with such a wonderful defence then?

Encouraged him to what? Like a city he doesn't like, make his wife and kids like a city they don't like. Not to get bothered by home invasions by criminals. ADM wanted himself and his family in Paris. There is nothing LVG or anyone else at the club could have done to stop it.

Valdes is not needed, we have DDG (the best keeper in the world) and Romero. Valdes is actually know for being a dick too. Your clutching at straws. Do you want Valdes getting game time or something?

no but again, if van gaal knew he was a dick why did he give him a contract? the treatment he is getting is also poor from the manager. Not allowed near the training ground when ever the first team are training?
not allowed to attend any events where first team are involved like the charity thing last week?

if he doesn't want him near the club just cancel his contract and pay him up when he is owed!!

What happens if one gets injured?

    Carrick & Schneiderlin?

    They are the two DM's

Oh wait a minute yea Schneiderlin is injured.

Schweinsteiger is not a defensive minded midfielder. Our lack of goals is closing lot of people's judgement on what kind of midfielders we play.

Heat map or average position of our players will give better idea.

That's impossible. United are a hoofball team. Fellaini's fault as you know.

Dont get me wrong. I was really p*ssed off Wenger didnt go for Schneiderlin. My point was why play them together since your defence is so strong. It seems overkill.

Maybe I got it wrong on Schweinsteiger. I was under the impression he was a DM for you and the game he moved further forward Cazorla had a field day.

If Woodward wants emails in order to guage the opinion of United fans - then he can have one from me.

Have sent one off - a bit of an essay to be honest. I made a point of being polite, and simply described why I am disappointed with how United are playing and the comments from Van Gaal regarding fan opinion on how United are playing - as well as recent comments regarding Suarez and Aguero.

I realise it is 99.999999% certain he will never even see the email, never mind read it - but it actually felt good to write it all down and send it off. A vent, I suppose.

Funny, I don't care what you are told.

That was different though, he was pressing ahead of striker which opened up gaps in the midfield.

Like I said, check the average positions of all the players and you don't see 2 DMs.

Regarding Schweinsteiger, there's nothing as infuriating as watching him find pockets of space and calling for the ball only to see whoever is on possession pick a safe sideways or backwards pass.I say it wrecks his head at times.

Some people expect too much too soon. However, if we do get knocked out tomorrow night, in a pretty straight forward group, I think will be huge disappointment.

Nobody is saying he should be sacked, things have not been good enough though and lots valid criticism is being dismissed.

Thats allowed, I'm just trying to keep up myself on where our midfielders actually play.

You don't have to be told, you can watch and see where they are when we are attacking (or in our case when in possession)

I find it funny the posters giving LVG credit for Smalling's improvement were the ones claiming he wasnt good enough and should be sold.

Smalling is fulfilling the potential a lot of us knew he had and could only realise by staying fit.

they are just clutching at straws for something to praise LVG for when there is very little to do so.

    Funny that.

Maybe you should watch the games instead of imagining things.

Ashley Young is the only player you could confidently claim has improved under LVG, that could be prefaced with the fact he was playing well within himself for a few years so if anything LVG helped him get back to his best.

Shaw started the season fantasticaly but I'm not sure how much credit can be attributed to LVG, as Mitch said he got himself fit and maybe returned to the level he was at in a Southampton Jersey ?

Blind, played him CB as opposed to CM ? Not sure how much he's improved, showed great defensive instinct's last season also.

I said VV had a history of it, maybe LVG wasn't aware and iirc originally it was the chance to complete his rehabilitation from a knee injury. What do you want LVG to do btw? Give a contract and good treatment to a player act like a tool?

Honest question, do you not get tired of making yourself look foolish?

There is plenty of positives, league position defense, possession etc which have been mentioned time and time again and you act like we are in Chelsea's position.

You do realise how childish & irrational blatantly ignoring these facts makes you look and takes away all your credibility when you actually try to make a serious point?

That alongside your constant name calling (Fanboys, its so petty i cringe) of rational people who can see the progress (and its easy to do because its ACTUALLY happening right before our very eyes) makes you a bit of a laughing stock that can't be taken seriously. You do realise that right?

Can you back that up with previous posts of those posters saying Smalling wasn't good enough with quotes from the same posters giving him credit now?

    I highly doubt it.

Seriously? You knew he had a history of it, but the manager of Manchester United getting paid millions of pounds a year didn't know about it??

and manager who had previously managed (and fallen out with) Valdes.

I only became aware after VV was dropped this season, I had to go look it up. So saying I was aware but LVG wasn't is false. I only recently became aware of it.

Refused to play for the B-Side, fell out with Van Gaal. Similar to what Van Gaal says happened this time around
