Salary increase mid month?

I'm due to get a salary increase after my 6 month probation period is up. I started on the 20th of the first month so should I expect to see my salary rise from the 20th of the 6th month or does it just start the following month (and you remain on the original salary until the end of the 6th month) ?

Depends on your company but I'd imagine you see it the following month.
