TO3860 diverting to Shannon, didn't even go near Dublin.
FR1024 diverting to Shannon, didn't make an approach.
FR3105 diverting to Shannon, after 1 go around.
FR117 diverting to Shannon, after 1 go around.
EI3275 diverting to Belfast, didn't make an approach.
FR297 diverting to Manchester, after 2 go arounds.
BA838 diverting back to London-Heathrow, made 1 early go around.

    Earlier
EI3843 (BRS-ORK) diverted to Shannon after 2 go arounds.
EI3805 (EDI-ORK) diverted to Shannon after 1 go around.
FR701 (STN-KIR) diverted to Cork after 2 go arounds.

Not the best day to be flying into Ireland.

I think I missed one, can anyone help?

He said something about reffering a matter to the head of the operations, but refrained to say exactly what or why.
Edit:finnharpsboy is on the ball with the quote there.

He's just entered the hold for LHR

Why would they go round when they were practically down?

    Thanks.

I wonder if it was the same BA pilot that got into an argument with dublin ATC a few months ago.

Why are they just allowed get away with this?

He was told to go around because EY048 was lined up on 28 ready to depart, but couldn't accept the updated wind speeds.

Was that the one where he kept insisting he was ready for take off but the controller was holding up his final checks??
She was well able for him.

Ah that's ok, wasn't aiming the Q at you but just a general thing.

I was on a plane twice in the last year Pax obv. where the wind on landing meant close to touchdown (I was in a window seat yikes) and up up and away again, but never with the wheels down on the runway.

Then again as an ordinary pax what the hell do I know? but I still like to get a bit of reassurance from the pros though. We are all only human!

Ah thats no problem, I wasn't intending it in a smart way, i'm just busy in work. If Iwas to guess, id say they were too far down the RWY when they touched down so they had to go back up
