Contactless card

Hi, a friend recently had her wallet stolen, including her contactless debit card. Apparently Bank of Ireland have told her that contactless payments cannot be stopped until the card expires. Is this true?

Good Afternoon dudara,

Thanks for getting in touch with the Online Service Desk. BOI contactless card have tight limits on spends before a Pin is required. Cards cannot be used until expiry date once cancelled. I hope this helps with your query.
