I have a dedicated Netflix button on my new Sony telly remote.
When I press it I'm told that we cannot reach Netflix services
and this is followed by (-115).
It then tells me to restart Netflix on my device....but how is the question?

Looks like no wifi signal getting to the TV, did you run through entering the WIFI code on the TV during the initial setup?

Have come across this problem a few times on different makes of tvs not just Sony's

    Usually to resolve i
    1. Check firmware is upto date for the tv.
    2. Reset the tv to re-enter the wifi settings can be a pain but sometimes the only way...
    3. Are you trying to fool Netflix to give u American version e.g dns vpn changer as I believe this is usually what error 115 refers to..

No, not trying to fool it at all.

Verify the built-in wireless LAN is enabled (I think it's enabled by default but confirm) and verify your WiFi settings (you can use WPS if your modem supports it). Wait a minute or so then Refresh Internet Content then try Netflix again.

Alternatively set up a wired connection and see if it works then.

If asked to restart Netflix just exit the app.
