Looking to get a new set of Vittoria Rubino Pros and the wire bead tires are €9 cheaper each than Folding ones..are they any worse?

They're heavier and harder to put on generally (but not impossible)

I'd go with folding tyres all day everyday.

If your getting the wired ones buy some extra tubes and a spare pair of thumbs.
New wired Vittoria's are a real pain in the ass to get on and have a high possibility of pinching the tube .

Great tyre but hard to get on as said previously

I find the folding more fidly to fit. I prefer the wire since I can't really get it wrong.

Though it is not the "correct" way to do it I generally use tyre levers to fit wired tyres, I just can't get them on without using them and I am reasonably strong. Especially for roadside repairs. Even using the recommended methods of moving the outside thread into the centre and working right around the rim.

After they have been on the wheel for a while it is a bit easier to replace them but the initial fitting is a curse.
