Replacing downstairs bathroom extraction fan

Our extraction van died a few years ago, never been an issue as we don't really use that bathroom but the kids and their laziness to go upstairs have taken a liking to it.

The current fan is an Aspira IPX4, has anyone ever had to switch one out? Is it handy enough, and where can I get one from in the west/north Dublin area?

Easy enough to do. Get a replacement in any electrical wholesalers.

Cool. I'll assume the electrician installed it correctly so should be a straightforward swap.

Does (did) the fan turn off when you turned off the light? If not you'll be looking for a timed extractor fan. There will then be two live (and one neutral) wires to the fan - one for the fan itself and the other to power it after the light is turned off. Otherwise it will be just one live and one neutral. The lads in a a wholesalers will sort you out and a replacement non-timed fan should be less than €15

Anybody have a fan attached to a variable timer switch on the wall? I've seen them on the continent and think theyre useful.
It means that the fan neednt come on at night and wake light sleepers for example.

It's a timed extractor fan with an isolator switch outside the bathroom.
