Dangerously off topic, but do any of you work in HR or Recruitment type positions?

These days they're called "Talent acquisition specialists".

is it registered though? or would you be getting a 161 plate on it?

If someone comes back from Oz with a loadacash next year and buys it, it will have a 2016 plate. If it's the year after it'll have a 2017 plate and so on.
if it's an 07 model, parts will be fecking discontinued soon :pac:

Very true!! Although not much goes wrong with them in fairness.

There was once an unregistered Alfa 156 GTA on Carzone that sat there in the back of a garage for a similar length of time. I think it went to the UK in the end.

Was that the red one with 666 in the reg?

It's expensive because it's a 2007 model that never sold to anyone and has been going from garage to garage for the last number of years so it has been advertised as a 2007 all the way up to 2015 (and 2016 next year) due to the fact that it's still waiting for its first owner. I kind of feel sorry for it actually. It's like a puppy waiting desperately for a home!

They were indeed going for the sleeper look with it and the 6 MPS alike.
Jaysus wouldnt you love to rock up to buy your new car only to realise it was built 10 years ago and has been rotting in a showroom ever since...

They should just drop the price and get rid of it, itll be worth nothing soon, its an 07 car regardless of what the plate says

Booked a flight from Dublin to Leeds.

€2.00 one way and €2.00 return, only €4.00 in total. It will cost me more to get to the airport than to get to UK, haha. :)

There was a €3.88 return flight to Copenhagen. I was going to book that but I couldn't get there at the same time as my Danish friend so I'll leave that for now. :D

Yup. I didn't actually book it. A friend booked it for me because it was cheaper than his breakfast this morning. His words. Not even sure what weekend. End of January I think.

AFAIK its 3 months before the due date, so 28th December 2015.

Booked the NCT there for mid December. Not out until Jan 31, but I should beat the mayhem!

Whats the best car accessories shop in Dublin City Centre please?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,326 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

Mitchell's on chapel street if it's still around.
Tbh, halfords in Liffey valley or blanch would have a lot bigger selection.

Anybody know where I can get some part worn tyres in Limerick city?? I might treat the Vectra to some used shoes!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,326 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

I would avoid mid west tyres in Limerick for part worns. Got sold duds, highlighted it straight away, then got fobbed off for a month before I eventually gave up because I couldn't have bad tyres on that car.

I don't know where's good in LK tbh. There's a place in Shannon , Smithstown Auto Repairs that I got great part worns from in the past.

Thanks Colm. I went into Mid West today to get prices for new tyres. I didn't ask them about part worns. I did the NCT the other day. I noticed I had only done 2,500 miles since the last NCT hence I will give part worns a shot.
