I was in Indianapolis in 2001 with a friend, we were crossing at a junction and walking behind the car, the car reversed and hit my friend, it was nothing just like a soft tap. There was a person on the corner who saw it and said ' I saw what happened if you want to sue the driver'.
'We said no, no one was hurt'.

It is no wonder he is suing, it's their 'culture'.

When medical bills cost a fortune it's either that or go bankrupt

The mercanry little git has shown his true colours. Off to the tolerant and inclusive utopia of Qatar with him.

He's pursuing the American Dream - get rich off the back of not doing much at all.

After getting that kind of special exposure and the overwhelming support he got (Celebrities and even Obama himself?), they still need €15 million?

I read that when the cops came over to him and saw that it was just a harmless device, they went ahead and arrested him anyway because everyone else was freaking out.

$15m will probably get dialed down to $1-2m I guess. It's something that should never have happened, so I don't buy this "poor cops" or "poor teachers" line. Fact is it would never have happened with a white kid.

Think of how much you'll realistically get, multiply it a few times and hope for the best.

    No harm in asking.

    I want $15m too! Please?

Like Robert De Niro in this boy's life "want with one hand sh1t in the other hand and see which one gets full first"

The little fecker will probably build a real bomb the next time, if we don't give him the money.

From all we know now about him, his father and his sister we can clearly see that this incident was set up deliberately to provoke this type of reaction. They knew they could count on the leftie media and sjws to do exactly what they always do at the drop of a hat.
This never would have happened with a white kid because he would be suspended or expelled and you would never hear about. It would be cast aside like those other stories about kids being thrown out of school for wearing a t-shirt with a gun on it or drawing a picture of gun and other such nonsense.

Kids has every right to sue, and he won't get any where near $15 million dollars in anyways.

As for the various accusations people are making about this being planned, well if such claims are true, then the law suit will be thrown out on that basis.

15 million for not inventing anything, Could say I'm surprised.... Oh wait.
The letters claimed the teenager’s civil rights were violated and that he and his family suffered physical and mental anguish. They claim he was singled out because of his “race, national origin, and religion.”

What civil rights did the police violate exactly.

A white kid would be expelled for bringing a homemade clock into school?

They arrested and questioned him without allowing him to see his parents or have access to any legal rep

Pretty basic stuff really, and has all been acknowledged by police already

    That is called punitive damages.

I agree this time things got a little far but come on, if the authorities are afraid to ask questions because they might be hit with a lawsuit then they will never catch the real threat.

It takes a bit of common sense alright, look at the device, get the engineering teacher to sign off on it and be done with it. But just because he is a muslim should not give him a blanket pass just because someone might be accused of being a racist.

Every situation needs to be judged on its merits alone. No outside force or influences should come into play and being part of a specific group should not offer you more lenient or harsher conditions. It just so happens this time there was a resemblance to a device which could cause harm and needed to be examined. It should have been signed off by someone with the authority and experience to do so and be done with.

In this particular case they knew it wasn't a bomb, and make a show of him anyway because they accused him of "hoaxing" or "threatening" people, which to me translates as "you should have known that someone with your demographics couldn't bring a complicated looking device to school without causing panic". That's the racial profiling and that's what needs to be punished and deterred.

It's well established at this stage that they never actually believed that it was a bomb.

Could they just not quote anti terror laws on that.

I don't know if they could have, but they didn't anyway so it's moot

Police said they knew at an early stage that he had no malicious intent, yet they still decided to ignore his rights and interrogate him illegally. His principal threatened to expel him from school unless he signed a written statement, all without any legal rep.

They fcuked up big time. The kid is dead right to sue.

It's funny that so many are having a go at him and his parents for doing so. I guess if their own rights were trampled on they'd be happy to just bend over and accept it, like the pathetic servile runts they are

Here's what can happen when you set off an alarm clock in school.
Senior prank lands two behind bars

TROUTMAN, N.C. -- South Iredell High School was evacuated Tuesday morning after police say a senior prank prompted a bomb search.

Dan Farrell's daughter Shannon Farrell is one of two students arrested.

He said, "I was called by my younger daughter saying my older daughter was taken away by the cops."

Farrell says his daughter told him about the prank to put alarm clocks in the unused locker and have them go off at different times. He said he thought it was harmless.

Troutman Police Chief Matthew Selves said, "We take this pretty seriously."

Seniors Shannon Farrell and Lekia Hall now face a felony charge of hoax by use of a false bomb in a public building, a "Class H" felony and obstruction of justice.

I would not have taken a clock apart put it in a different package and said I invented something. And after being told not to show it around plug it in and let it go off in another class his colour religion has zero to do with anything. The whole premise is whether the teacher thought it was the intent to look like a bomb. Hoax bombs are illegal in that state.

Good for you I guess, but none of that changes the fact that the kid in this case was illegally questioned and coerced into signing a statement by way of threats.

Don't the courts decide that ?

That narrative, that it was homemade and was innocently brought to school, was torn apart quite quickly after the story came out.
