    (reply explaining how everything with insurance companies is absolutely fine and completely random and nonsensical quotes make total sense, but only if you know every single one of the 3.75 million criteria such as star sign, how many pieces of lint in your belly button, the exact angle of the Earth's axis on the day of your 14th birthday, the exact thickness of the primer inside your fuel filler cap cover in micrometers and, as a laugh, how many year's no claims bonus you have) :pac:

    Tbf, all details for both Audi drivers above have not been provided. Location, occupation, named drivers, open driving etc.

    Living in a border county like Louth or Monaghan for example carries a heavy loading with most insurers.

    They may well be a carbon copy of each other of course but if I've learned anything from the insurance industry its that you cannot always take everything at face value.

    If one of them had a secure garage in the middle of nowhere and the other lived in Jobstown, it would make sense. :)

    Why so? (I've a feeling I know)... I wonder will I ever meet their criteria but I feel if I do I'd better move to Wexford and drive the smallest engine VW Polo I can get but then they'd probably load me for being over 50. :(

    Gender: Male

    Age: 25

    Location: Meath

    Car: 2000 Toyota Corolla 1.9d

    Licence: Full, 8 years

    NCD: 7+

    Cover: TPFT

    Previous year: €850 AXA (on a Mercedes C220cdi, also 2000)

    Price: €1100 AXA

    Utterly disappointed. I could understand the increase if going from the humpy Corolla to the C220. A joke really

    Renewal came. Same car, same driver.

    €1400

    F*cking €1400 for a car that wouldn't run out of your way? Thats quite safe? Thats driven normally and not like knobends in their tarted up sh*tboxes?

    Im getting priced out and for what and for who? Some dickheads that claim all f*cking round them and gobsh*tes like me have to cough up?

    Kiss my bollox. Anyone whom thinks they can justify my insurance hike can go f*ck themselves. This horsesh*t is unacceptable. Why the f*ck should I be priced out for driving normally?

    Needless to say ive looked for insurance elsewhere

    Things have taken a turn for the worse with this year's renewal. Now looking at €790. Best I could get was through AA again, Allianz this time. All other quotes were 830 plus. This still includes AA membership, would have been 765 without so I said may as well have it for 25 extra.

    If the car is declared as a turbo that's quite reasonable

    If the car is declared as a turbo that's quite reasonable

    That's actually very good if it is.

    Car is declared as turbo and import on the insurance, but Non-turbo on the log book. I was very surprised myself as the quote last year was €1800 TPFT, wouldn't even quote Fully comp.

    Glanza v and starlet gt's are not that bad on insurance even when declared as a turbo.

    I moved from a 1.4 civic to a starlet gt (declared as turbo) my insurance went down a few hundred. Thought I was going to get buggered by my insurance

    Recently renewed my policy:

    Age: 35;
    Years driving: 17;
    Car: '06 Alfa 159 1.9 JTS;
    NCB: 3 years own name;
    Claims: 0 (had no car for 3 years before, old NCB from Italy had expired);
    Points: 0;
    Cover: TPFT;
    Provider: Allianz through AA;
    Price: quoted 835, then updated to 700;

    Last year I paid 540 for the very same car...all in all, considering the increases some people got, not too bad. Still, looking at the prices posted here, they do seem very, very random to me...

    21 years old and insured on a 335i for €1,200? Sounds like someone in the insurance company fcuked up that quote if I'm honest. He's very lucky.

    Try FBD/No Nonsense, that's same insurance group as my car.

    There is also a similar one with a quaife lsd for sale on bmwhaus for much much less money

    I'm driving a 645ci. I don't want a 335, I'm just pointing out that the young lad with the 335 is lucky to even get a quote let alone insurance for €1200.
