Anyone out there done the cert or diploma?
I'm thinking of signing up in January trying to do some research don't want to waste 1,500.

Also is it difficult to get a foot in the door? There seems to be loads of ads constantly going up on the job sites. What's it like to work in?

Also if anyone had a syllabus or a chapter to send on to get a flavour it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a background in funds a good while ago now and have business and legal academics.

    Hi,

Did you sign up in the end? I would love to know how you found the course and study materials. Also if you know of any study groups/forums for students starting the Certificate in Compliance.

I signed up in September and have the first exam in January but I find it's difficult to motivate myself to get into the home study.

Hi. I have just completed the 4 exams. For the first two I read the manual and just did the multiple choice questions over and over again analysing where I made mistakes and re-reading those sections. They are very doable.

Hi, Well done! Thanks for sharing your experience. It's a little daunting when you don't have a group to chat to about progress etc. Thanks again.

Hey I passed both, just about, find the negative marking is the most difficult thing about it. I wasn't part of any study group, but overall didn't put too much work into it. As mentioned they're very doable.

Are either of you currently working in this area? As I am not.

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not working in compliance but I have some experience in funds. I'm just a little worried that I'm not doing as much as I should be - hopefully it will be fine. Well done on passing them, especially if you don't work in the area.
