Need a Souare goal and Kane to score about 7 to end the week with any level of respectability.

A miserable week compounded by this:

"No assist was given to Deulofeu for Everton's first goal as Opta determined he was trying to pass to Kone rather than shoot. Assists are not given for significantly deflected passes."

35(-8) the crap season continues. Although am glad I have Kun in and hopefully no further point hit this week. Still have capt Kane and bolasie to go, so some hope still exists...

You guys might remember me mentioning a guy who has come last every year in one of my private leagues.

He's now 1st in the world.

He's had Lukaku and Pellé pretty much from the start. Has never had Aguero. Has never had Sanchez. Has never had Costa or Hazard. Ozil has been his most expensive player.

I've decided. I'm actually shít at the game.

Some season they've had so far! Can you imagine being top even for just a week it would be unreal!

It's a really tough season, isn't it? We're almost through 13 weeks now, or in other words 35% of the season. Play 100 seasons and 99 of them wouldn't turn out the way this one has, but it's probably time for us to stop thinking things will swing back in our favour in all honesty. It's one of those seasons.

the thing about it was the deflection off the pass actually made it actually more difficult (well it wasnt at all difficult in anyway!) for Barkley as it took the ball behind him. if there was no deflection the ball would have went straight to barkley and he would have scored and they would have had to give the assist.

the logic is completely wrong. they are essentially saying that if a player crosses the ball it is only an assist if it reaches one particular player. what about corners?? will they now determine who the corner was originally targetted at!

opta trying to get too smart for themselves and sometimes they just overcomplicate for the sake of it.

regardless of the deflection that ball was directed moreso to the backpost and kone wasnt going to get it. the keeper should have had it but he parried it out. watch the clip below. i dont have Deloffeuou (incidentally i have Barkley!) but i feel your frustration with this one.

The ironic despair is making me feel better. I've never been particularly good at this game (always seem to hover around the 50k mark) and I don't watch football, but this season has been painful. It's not even like I'm getting *bad* scores; I just keep going on my slow ascend down the ranks!

The only thing that's keeping me going is the relatively high amount of chips used by those ahead. Someone posted the stats a few weeks ago. Think a very high % of the top 100k had used triple captain and bench boost. IF we get lucky with DGW's, there could be massive jumps.

I'm not optimistic. Just trying to be.

It's something that really needs to be addressed with the game.

I have Deulofeu and have had a relatively poor week so I'm more pissed off than I usually would be, but far too many times now at this stage assists have been correctly/incorrectly awarded. It's arguably the main problem with the game at this stage. Consistency is badly needed.

Yeah, I wouldn't be banking on that either.

In all honesty, those who used the triple captain on Aguero vs Newcastle likely won't have their score for that chip beaten if he had 3 games in a week. Bench boost is a very tricky one to balance with the wildcard etc due to the fact we can only use one a week so it'll take plenty of good planning and a lot of luck. Points on the board are better than games in hand as they say.

Even if we say now at this stage the chips are worth an extra 50k-75k jump for those struggling it still won't do much for many of us. It'd only bring me to 25k at best which is well off where I'd be happy finishing.

I had Barkley this weekend but no Lukaku.

Had Ayew the last and sold him yesterday morning for no reason other then I had a free transfer burning a hole in my pocket.

I end the week with 50 points and a very sour taste in my mouth after yesterday mornings event.

The event in question was my seemingly straight forward captaincy change from Vardy last week to Lukaku.
Somehow in the changeover Pelle grabbed the armband and hid till midday when the team was checked.

Harsh lesson was learned to always double or triple check team before deadline.

Special mention for Coutinho for cheering me up somewhat yesterday evening with his points haul.

I was 149th at one stage last season (thanks Charlie) and wish I screenshotted :P Don't know if I'll ever be that high again, certainly not this season :P

54 with Cabaye to play. It's been a silly season. Southampton and Manchester City had phenomenal form and fixtures going into GW11- they have done nothing.

I wouldn't worry yet. My most successful season I wasn't even in the top 100k come Xmas. It's the key time for people like us who put in alot of effort.

citys premier league form was very bad going into this match. drew with villa, scraped past norwich and should have lost against united.

in between two more awful defeats against Spurs and west ham they hammered Newcastle and bournmouth who gave up after half an hour. Flat track bullying to its highest degree.

they have excellent players, no doubt but Pellegrini doesnt know how to balance the team at all. YaYa Toure is a lazy f'er who they should have cashed in on after his tantrum in 2014 whilst Pell is chopping and changing his central defence every other week. selling Dzeko has came back to haunt him also now.

You're top 30k now Stephen, I see no reason why you couldn't get yourself into top few hundred between now and the end of the year, like SlickRics buddy there's a lot of guys who will only go one way that are ahead of you now, that's a great position to be in now.

45 points with Kane (c) and Toby to come.

2nd GW in a row where I'm relying on Kane to bail me out.

I used two FT's this week and took in Ozil,Lukaku for Pelle and Payet, so I guess it could have been waaaaaaaaay worse but I regret not putting the armband on Lukaku.

I'm sliding down the leaderboard the last few weeks, from 3k to 6k to 10k and now 18k before todays games! Just can't get any momentum going.

he got EIGHTY FIVE points
I got 32
to my Sanchez and KDB he had ayew and coutinho......and the extra bit of cash meant he also had ozil!
