It is such a thin track, funny how it is so intense between the s2000 and M4 and then a GTR just comes up from behind and passes both of them.

He did well to stay with the GTR for the while he did, good driving, I wonder how happy he was with the M4 braking mid corner forcing him to back off the throttle, especially with the M4 having better acceleration. Loved the power slides too.

Type of car means very little on the ring, someone who knows it well could make a show of someone who doesn't very easily.

The S2000 driver knows it better than the M4 driver but the M4 drivers ego had trouble moving over to let him past lol you could see a change in the M4 drivers driving after the crash - like he got a little reality check, that M4 driver will cause trouble on a track someday soon i'd say. It was an idiot in a UK reg M3 that made my blood boil on the ring, too many lads think its gran truismo .

The sound of that Honda is absolutely wonderful.

The Ring is definitely something I'd like to do, I just can't see myself ever pushing a car around it. It's too narrow, too slippery and too unpredictable. This is all just based in what I have seen from video footage. The danger of having an accident is realistically quite high given the lack of experience, other drivers etc.

Would love to go around it though!

Passenger seems to have more confidence in the driver than the driver himself?

Convertible, on a difficult track, racing, with so many other good & bad drivers and no helmet?????????? death wish right there.

Has anyone gone to one of these American car/truck shows in Kilbeggan?

I'd say the S2000 was on slicks given his Corning speeds and lack of slide, combined with a knowledgable, and capable Driver .

It's actually not that narrow or slippy (in the dry) and not even that mechanically hard on car compared to mondello where you see a lot more kerbs etc. It it is however very scary lol other drivers and motorbikes are the main dangers as long as you are not caning it. The elevation changes are the only thing the videos can't prepare you for, some of the crests and drops are rollercoaster like.

S2000 on the Ring eh? Here's Gan San from Japan's Best Motoring series driving one of the prototypes, roof down, in white socks and loafers. As you do. Check out his river dancing on the pedals. Helluva pilot that lad.

Here's the same chap, only this time fully kitted out and in an NSX Type R.

Drive fast sure, try and enjoy it definitely. You can do both without absolutely caning it that's when the ring bites you back.

Man that GTO sounds fantastic. Funny enough when I think of the Italian Job the opening credits was the part I remember the most from when I was a kid.
