I saw yesterday that the bill to allow for some restoration of public sector pay cuts was passed in the Dail yesterday, I am assuming it will go through a couple of more stages but does this mean I might see the pay increase in my wage in January? I have noticed that a few of the unions have rejected them but I am not a member of a union so haven't really seen any communications around this.

I am new to the public service so I would welcome the pay increase, the cuts obviously never affected me.

Cool. :) Thank you, it might just cover my increasing travel costs.

Anyone have a link to any articles about this? I've been searching news sites and can't seem to find it.

    Here are a few:

    breakingnews.ie

    rte.ie

Just enter "public sector pay" in a search engine

Sorry, these articles relate to the agreement not the Dail vote

    The 2013 paycuts for those earning between 65,000 - 99,000 will be restored over 2 years 2016 & 2017.

    For those earning > 100,000 the 2013 cuts will be reversed in 3 stages presumably 2016, 2017 & 2018.

    PRD will change to

2015 current Rate 2015 (Bill) Rate 2016 Rate 2017 Rate

    up to 15k 0% 17.5K 0% 26,083 0% 28,750 0%

    15 - 20 2.5% 17.5-20K 2.5%

    20 - 60 10% 20-60K 10% 26,083-60k 10% 28,750-60K 10%

    60+ 10.5% 60+ 10.5 60+ 10.5% 60+ 10.5%
