Hate that, especially when it's been tied up for a long time and you let it down :(

I wash my hair every second day. I use dry shampoo or baby powder to curb the greasiness.

Washing your hair everyday only causes it to get greasier faster. It also strips the natural oils from your hair.

    I wash my hair daily.
I only have one hair follicle so want to look after it.

I found them in a camping shop in Sligo for around a fiver, they were different sizes and colours too, and they even had a serrated knife part on the handle. I suppose they're 'camping-specific' 'cause they are space saving items.

Healthy food and drinks cost so much more than unhealthier ones. Take.. coconut water.. around €2 - €2.50. Bottle of coke? €1.20 - €1.40.

pretty sure water is cheaper than coke

This is a contributor to so many people on low income being overweight, then certain types of people look at them and think "how poor can they be, they've obviously loads of money for food, they're obviously getting too much on the dole/benefits". It's a horrible cycle.

Then you could say that I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts.

    Damnit, Medusa22!

Actually I saw this crazy thing in Camden Lock over in London recently, where this dude had a stall selling coconut water. You go over and order one and he picks up a coconut and a machete and just slices the coconut open, pops a straw in it, and hands it over.

I don't even like coconut water. It was the only somewhat healthy drink I could think of.

Actually, what's crazy is that there's two supermarkets in my town - one homegrown and a Supervalu. Aloe Vera juice -- €3.00+ (can't remember the exact amount, but not more than €4) for a litre and a half bottle in Supervalu. The homegrown one? Around €2.90 for 500ml.

Leave him be, this is the "Kobudera"-chant aspect of Onmyōdō. It is a vital stage before Iai, i.e. the ratchet-spanner is produced and the problem beheadedfixed before it is aware that a weapon is present. :D

Been there - done that recently trying to change a rope on the glass of a stove.

Despite copious amounts of GT 7 (?) 3 of the 4 nuts/bolts wrung off, I was fooled by the first one I tried - it came out grand. Ch isn't even that strong - they were very soft.

Fortunately I have a comrade who is tidy at the welding and he put in 4 new ones with a belt of his cap, otherwise it would have been more than a TA.

Also the stove is burning so much better with the new rope I'm convinced it was wrong from day 1

The usual cause of this is ignoring the Hierarchy of Tools. What were you using to catch 'em?

People that can't spell and people that constantly write in text speak. I just can't be dealing with it. The odd mistake here and there okay, but the same word misspelled over and over, stop! It's enough to drive me over the edge. *twitches*
I work in the maintenance side of things in a factory so there are loads of opportunities for misspellings.

'Vacuum' is one of the best examples:
    Vacoom
    Vacumn (My favourite)
    Vaccum
    Vaccume
    Vacoome

'Break' instead of 'brake' is a common one.

The woman who worked with me for over 10 years always spelled 'item' as 'itam' (and she was always writing the word, for some strange reason). If we ordered something in for particular people, we'd write their name on it. A lad called Niall was a regular, and she always spelled his name 'Nial'. And he was her next-door neighbour!

The company has gone safety-mad here so safety incident reports by e-mail from management are a common thing. Within 5 seconds of opening them, I can usually spot the 20 spelling mistakes. I could be the ultimate grammar Nazi but I very rarely actually say it to anyone because I'm such a lovely person. :pac:

Ah. Not the greatest for seized fasteners. If a decent six-point socket won't catch it, the best best is a plain ring-spanner.

They wrung off so handy that I thought the nut was actually turning, I wasn't even putting much force on it, only a short spanner that fits in my small hand :(

(It was the bolt that wrung off)
