I'm looking for an engineers cert for a house built in 2012, I've been onto planning in the area they put me onto building control but they only have stuff from 2014 onwards.

The builders used their own architect but they have since gone bust and I can't contact them.

Surely there must be something filed away somewhere to show who signed off on a house.

    Thanks

The home owner and the engineers involved keep the copies. It's possible the bank have a copy too.

If you bought the house your solicitor should have a copy.... if your buying the house the vendors solicitor should have a copy.
