You dont even notice the curved after a while. Regarding the Ultrawide, its the future for me. It just so damn cool for playing games. It annoys me that devs dont have it as standard at this stage

    ie fallout 4

Thanks lads, did a quick look around and it looks like Amazon.de has the Ergotron MX for €140 delivered. Happy days :)

There's a lot of things that should have standard support these days that just don't. Framerate caps or things being tied to frame-rate are the worst.

Hi I was just wondering if HWVS is alright to use again since it went into administration?

Has anybody ordered since? Is the delivery still a flat €12?

Just bought from them last week. Bought 5 different items, some of which needed to be ordered in, some of which were on site, and one of which was available but in an "external warehouse". Received one item last Friday, one yesterday, 2 today and expect the final delivery soon enough.

I paid the flat 12 euro, and can't complain about delivery times given some items were (expectedly) delayed. Just waiting on the last item now. I would have thought they'd have hekld back some items to make one large shipment, or split it into two, but I received 4 separate packages over 3 separate days, and expect a fifth package soon.

I'm not complaining though! Hopefully all items are in order as I've yet to test them. SSD works well though, fingers crossed for the others!

Folks, long shot but is anyone selling a 1150 socket compatible heatsink? Ideally in the Limerick area. Thanks.

Try Adverts. Plenty on there for 5 quid or so.

If it's just to borrow I have an Intel 1155 cooler (might this be compatible?) and I'm in the Limerick area if you can pick up.

1156, 1155, and 1150 share the same heatsink mounting, if that's of any help.

Hey folks. Anywhere in Ireland where I can try a few mechanical keyboards? I'm really curious to see what they're like to type on.

There was a switch sampler going around (I bought it, didn't need, posted to someone who was also curious). Dunno which of the lads has it at the mo. If someone has it, post it on!

Thanks Gumbo and Serephucus, I ended up buying a aftermarket heatsink from Amazon last night. Might overstock the CPU at some stage.

Over the last week or so while playing games I've been getting random FPS drops.. Like I might go from 140 fps, down to 80 for a second or two, then back to 140. The difference is extremely noticeable while playing CS:GO. I've been unfortunate enough to have it happen just as I go to peek a corner.

Any ideas what I should check?

There was no issues until recently. I have GTX 970s in SLI.

If you arent using vsync and a 144hz panel right now try
    fps_max 110

and you'll stabilize it out by leaving some headroom.

turn your settings down , 140fps isn't enough.

Check your system overall. Rule out other applications - don't have a browser open, make sure 100 useless thigns aren't running in the background. Check by going into MSCONFIG. Disable stuff that you can easily recognize as unimportant (so many updaters running constantly it's insane). After you've cleaned up the system just run a game like CS to check if the problem still persists. If not you can rule out hardware issues.

Has anyone used komplett recently? I am upgrading soon (just waiting to see if I can get a deal on Black Friday) so I am looking around at various sites. Checked komplett.ie today and they are offering me the same price as mindfactory when delivery is taken into account.

I've used komplett in the past and never had an issue, but I have heard that they had poor customer service at one stage (but I have yet to hear of a components website that aren't if things start to go wrong).

I am fairly tempted to just order with them but curious to see if anyone has actually dealt with them recently?

Never ever do a BMC FW update on a machine you can't physically get to.

    I've had that happen...

Why can't you get to it? Different house?

    Different nation.

Don't particularly trust its "caretaker" to pull the HDD caddy to get at the CMOS batt.

Ah, right. I'm moving in March. Was going to leave the NAS here, but... situations like that... I'd rather not.

Radionics, they're on the Herberton Road off the canal near the Crumlin end.

Does anyone know the max current output of a PWM controller?

My motherboard only has one 4 pin for case fans. It's a smal case and I'm sticking in a 150w~ (7870) GPU in there so I'd prefer to have a front intake and rear exhaust (currently hust have a front intake).

I have a 3 pin Nanoxia 1300RPM 120mm hooked up, but it runs at full speed; preferably I'd like to have this run a bit slower, and I'd also like a splitter off the pins to run 2 fans off the 3 pin connector.

So, my question is, will this overload the controller? I imagine not, as a 120mm fan at 1300rpm and a 92mm fan same speed roughly isn't a particularly huge load.

I'm also wondering if I do that, can I run them at sub 12v? I understand if I don't use the fourth pin I don't have Pwm control, but is there a way I can implement voltage control?

Any recommendations as to a splitter?

Thanks, I realise I phrased the question a bit awkwardly :P

I'd try and use something with external power tbh

    something like

    http://www.advancetec.co.uk/30cm-akasa-flexa-fp3s-3x-pwm-fan-splitter-cable-with-sata-power-braided.html

    for example

92 + 120 off of one mobo header would give me the worries

Oddest thing the right shift button on my G510s keeps depressing itself and sticking.

Being honest I dont think I have ever pressed that button ever.

That's incredibly odd. Seeing as you don't ever use the button it would be hard to put it down to the button actuators acting up. But logitech mice aren't free from that problem. Used to happen to the left button on my G700. Logitech replaced it no problem.

Unless something is trapped under the button.

Probably the wrong place to be asking :p but is there any good budget keyboards that people can recommend?

Illuminated would be a bonus, i dont need any mechanical keys but something nice to type on would do the job fine. USB or Wireless.

Im not to fond of that tacky BAKTH keyboard coming up on lightning deals at 8!

Much much more budget than that! ;) Something within the range of 50 euros. Was just seeing if anyone bought something in that range.

I've narrowed it down to the Perixx PX-1100, some German Brand.

Suits my needs well, and seems to be well reviewed, not the nicest looking but meh.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00GMIYS0W?colid=1Y4T4XVM83L8C&coliid=I3F084Q95XUV29&psc=1&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl

If theres a lightning deal on this I'm laughing. Hope it doesnt come with the model number written on the space bar.
