    Hi,

I had a look through a lot of the ROS registration threads but couldn't find an answer. I am a PAYE employee and I need to file form 11 for 2015. The paper form is kind of long and confusing but I notice that there is a kind of automated tool to help fill out and submit online if you have a ROS account.

The ROS helpline doesn't have an option for help setting up an account, nor does it have a 'for all other enquirers press x' option.

When I tried registering for ROS I get the impression it is not for PAYE individuals (I am NOT self-employed), more geared towards business, is that the case? If I try to register I cannot select PAYE Employee as I think it is looking for some kind of employer number. It will accept my PPS number if I select 'Income Tax'.

So ROS for an individual? Yea or Nay?

    Thanks.

You can use ROS but you need to register for income tax first. If you have a PAYE anytime account I think you can do this online. If not it's a paper firm TR1 you need. Once you are registered for income tax, you can then register for ROS.
