    3.50 Qibtee 9.6 (betdaq)
bigger bet on a place at 5/4 skybet

big gamble on the fav prob the reason for the drift but the first two hotpots have been beaten out of sight so may as well go for a bit of value imo

I see someone was given a brown envelope to place a few bets and every muppet on boards backs it :D

Was the envelope full of magic beans?? Another spoofer.

Why would you call people muppets. Not every horse tipped or otherwise is going to win.

I didn't back it :) seriously though,it's gone beyond a joke the way people put up a talking horse, then every time it runs its fancied, sometimes the horse runs 7/8 times before it wins then there's a big whoopeeeeee!! I don't mean tips,I mean people pick a horse from the clouds, make a case for it,then its bigged up every time it runs!

To be fair, Francie is generally spot on Slattsy. Your a bit off the mark.

If anyone fancies Vatour for the GC i'd suggest putting a few quid on now AP.
They really think he's a GC winner in the making and better than Djackadam - who was second last year. I think he might have stamina doubts, but you wont know until the day.

Francie owes me nothing, his past posts have been great, it's just how it goes sometimes.

If I had a free "match" bet for the gold cup between djakadam and vatour,I would take djakadam

As would I. Im just saying he's going to shorten by a point or 2 when/if he wins

I am guessing slattsy wasn't getting at anyone in particular,I know what he means though.there have been spectacular gambles on here and you will always get "lemmings" adding to the hysteria, slight eggagerarion to make the point.I have been gambling on horses best part of 38 years and in my personal experience 9 out of 10 tips DONT win.I have learned, and I rarely back tips now, having said that, people are obviously free to do what they want with their own money.

Vautour would piss all over Djack.

Holywell for me today 20/1 outrageously generous, given he was 9L off Coneygree on similar ground in March and blinkers back on today.

Liverpool 4/1 is too big also, might do a double

Rock on Ruby 7/4 is an early christmas present

I wouldn't be too sure vatour would piss all over djakadam over the gold cup distance, vatour has yet to prove he would stay, djakadam doesn't need to prove it.

Willie wont run Vautour if he doesnt think he will get the trip and Vautour is about 10 times classier

Agreed, but slattsy was talking about ante post,so its just going by what we know now

The way Ruby and Willie talk about Vatour they certainly thinks he's a better yolk that Djackadam. Thats the impression i get anyway.
See how he gets on today but has to prove he stays 3 miles never mind the GC trip.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    Couldnt have that!!

Very impressed with vatour, apart from one dodgyish jump he sailed over those fences.i personally wouldnt be rushing to back him for the gold cup though

Bativar 20/1 ew for me at Haydock. Pipes horses in poor form but I have memories of him winning a few of these. He also has low key.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

I have went for a decent win bet on Baradari 12/1 in the next at Haydock. He should at least be very compeditive here
