    Yep that was what I was hinting about.

    The Vermork plant is up the road from this town.
    This is nearest town hence my hint about nearby.

    And it was from here the heavy water was being transported to Germany on the rail cars which were later sunk on the ferry on the nearby lake.

    is gmaps in N korea?

    I was thinking somewhere like scandinavia. xmas trees in photo dark skies even thought its daytime.

    I don't know honestly just got impression that's in Asia. My next guess could be Kazakhstan or Kyrgyzstan but it's hard to say really no buildings around I'm trying to read what's written on the red sign but with poor result unfortunately.

    I cant get to it either, tis a tough one. there is a building on the left with letters above it cant make them out though. cryclic? or roman, just cant see. That sign as well nothing and also the bin to the right cant see.
    A building further to the back looks like a commie era type building so could be russia influence. But modern building to the right, plus the park looks in great shape and well cared for says to me no. but saying that it could be a memorial park and would be kept in good shape regardless.
    this is a good one.

    You have to get one of those Hollywood copies of Adobe Photoshop that make all bad out of focus pictures legible and clear. :D

    My guess is Ashikaga Flower Park in Japan ?

    They have a thing for pink and purples.
