Fairly bad here in Cork at the moment, if anything it's been getting worse in the last 15 mins...

    Last report was 240degrees 28kts (51km/h) gusting 52kts (96km/h) about 60 seconds ago.

240 degrees is a fairly bad crosswind for Cork

Anyone know why EI3259 is holding at DUB? Its on its third round of hold now when other traffic is only doing 1 at max. (Some not doing anything)

Windshear on RWY28 being recorded with a nice 21kt G 33kt wind from the south south west so it probably wasnt the nicest landing.

Frustrating for all on board, I'm sure. EI3381 isn't too far behind now. I wonder how the pilot will get on with that.

FR9895 just roared over Cork City. I'm guessing he pulled out of a descent?

Runway direction v wind direction the key to Shannon's success right now

    Yep go around.

The earlier diverted EI724 is of from SNN now going back to either Cork or London Heathrow (Looks like LHR)

Wind direction at Shannon is 260 degrees so not the most optimal, 35kts gusting 48ts with Windshear and severe turbulence.

Still only 20 degrees off, much closer to a headwind than cork or Dublin runways right now.

Either way, still not a great night to be flying anywhere.
