The storming was a failure if true:(

The storming was likely a reaction to the killings inside the concert hall. Nobody storms a hostage situation where the hostages are considered to be relatively safe and secure. The French police went in because they killings inside were happening. They were the reaction, not the cause.

I'm shocked by this over 100 murdered in one attack. So so sad. I can't get my head around this.

The UK needs to boot out every Muslim with extremist links out of the country, they are on the national database. This $hit cant be let continue.

The people carrying out these attacks arent too different from "ordinary" people. They often come from societies where there is little or no familiarity with guns. They are amateurs. Trained by amateurs, or even worse by trained over the internet. I dont agree that armed civillians would quickly and professionally dispose of such threats, but neither is it true that armed civillians would be hopelessly outmatched by armed amateurs.

If the attackers are veterans of the Syrian/Iraqi conflict or have trained in Afghanistan or an African Islamist stronghold then they'd be well capable of outmatching amateurs. Even if they haven't a fiercely determined person who is not only prepared to kill but doesn't give a damn about his own safety is likely to get the better of some tough talking gun nut pissing himself as he tries to remember how to take the safety off.

Nothing 100% confirmed about that, but I really hope it's not true.

A French newspaper is reporting 1500 people were at the show in the theatre.

Lots of people have died unnecessarily tonight, and for what? The politicians will pay lip service, saying something like "we must stand together in this moment" like they always do. But they created this mess and the blood is on their hands

    I'm sorry, but that's bollocks.

Europe's innocence? What planet are you living on we've been through two world wars and a genocide.

You don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

And if you go to a gunfight. Make sure your guns are better than theirs.

No such thing as pandering to the 'unfortunates' after this I'm afraid.

    Multiculturalism has failed.

    Full Stop.

You don't get it do you?

Adopting a pure "eye for an eye" approach is not going to work. It's going to create an "us versus them" situation and when you use brute force you will kill civilians. And what will that breed - for a hint, check out how the Catholics up north felt and their reaction.

Civilised, educated people can live together - addressing ignorance and educating people is the key, combined with alertness and if necessary, in conjunction with defending ourselves.

The bomb them all and let god sort them out will simply create a bigger clusterf*ck

french people are known to be tight but you would have to have a heart of stone to go charging people after these events.

Over 100 dead in what can only be described as a cold, senseless attack on innocent people.

Lockdown, military on the road and blood on the streets, this is a win for the low life terrorists that committed this.

I can only imagine what the backlash for this will be once the motive is established. Either way, my heart brakes for Paris and France. This really is a tragedy.

Not really sure what else there is to say about this...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't xenophobia the fear of other nationalities?
Firstly Muslim/Islam isn't a nationality, secondly to say that all muslims praise these attacks isn't an admission of fear of them but rather a sweeping generalization of the followers of a religion.

Insert your preferred word if you like, it all boils down to hatred of an entire group for nonsensical reasons. Tarring a billion people with this is completely wrong. And thinking that there are a billion muslims praising the attacks "in their hearts" tonight is an inciteful comment and should be shouted down.

100 people dead in the concert theatre alone. Jesus.

Yeah, hatred and racism is clearly the way forward. FÚcking hell man.

How is this racist? Seriously, Islam isn't a fúcking race, it's a religion. Nobody is saying "kill all Pakis" or "hang the Arabs from a tree". Islam is fully, completely incompatible with Western life.

Anyone who does not conform to Western standards and ideals should be thrown out. Full stop.

100 killed at the nightclub. Police stormed the concert hall but obviously the terrorists attacked first. This is getting worse by the minute, I don't even want to think about what I'm going to wake up to.

    My thoughts exactly.

What are we going to wake up to?

I just hope that the Liberal Extremists that facilitated this situation in the first place get hung out to dry in the aftermath of all this.

Nothing 100% confirmed about that, but I really hope it's not true.

Illegal migrant camp tents go on fire regularly.

Someone cooking or getting heat from camping stove, stove knocks over etc...

Western Politicians created Islam, and the supremacist ideology, separting believers from kuffar ?

And there was me thinking is was the Prophet himself, sometime around the 610s.

With the sex bits which applied to him, and him only, during the 620s.

Irish Politicians, messing around in Arabia in the 620s. Bsstard. No wonder I worry about travelling on the LUAS in the year 2015.
