How to check my driving record

Is there a quick way to check my record? or my licence?

I was in court about 13 years ago and received a year ban for no insurance. Stupidly drove a mate's car when in college.

My licence expired about 9 months after I received the licence back from the courts and when I took it in to the motor office at the time; there was a bit of a kerfuffle and they ultimately gave me a new 10 year licence without any endorsement. They were a bit sheepish about it and when I pressed them, they said that they couldn't obtain a record of the endorsement and as such "it had to come off" and they would not reapply it..

I've been driving for 12 years incident free since but I've always wondered whether or not there is any record whatsoever of the conviction or endorsement??

I know I can ring the RSA for the penalty points on my licence number.. Would they have any other information at hand?

After this long I'd just forget about it.

I defiantly wouldn't be posting admitting to 12 years of falsely declaring details for the purposes of entering into a legally binding contract of insurance on a public forum where your easily identifiable.

I didn't falsely declare anything for the last 12 years.. you jumped the gun a bit on that one

So for anyone reading - I have not obtained motor insurance under false pretences. I have used a very good broker.

This was a curiosity thing more than anything. Don't know why I didn't check this in the last 12 years..
