Updates once a month for most people. Once the new OS hits next week you can expect maybe one more update before Christmas, then the next will be when the monthy updates resume in February.

What kind of size updates are they averaging

Not sure right now, because of all the testing with the new dashboard they are pushing big builds to me a lot, 3.5 GB is a full build. The incremental updates would only be about 4/500 MB.

3.5gb... oh god. My xbone could very well be going up for sale I'm 1.5 hours into the 2gb download and it's only at 80%

Set it to instant on and check for an update before you go to bed, you wont even see them.

Have tried it out there, first launch of the guide was definitely faster by a couple of seconds, but there is still a short delay.

Launch afterwards was near instant though, but I'm not sure if that's different, I don't tend to go to the guide all that often.

Also, with these updates coming thick and fast, everyone might be better off manually checking for an update everyday, that way you'll garantee that you'll get the ~350mb update rather than the 3.5 GB catch-up update. There's plenty of reports of people using the auto-download setting and needing to download the catch-up update, so better to be safer than sorry.

I wasn't expecting anything as I knew what I signed up for but there were more people than usual with issues during the beta though they they were quick enough to address and fix them so could be a sweetener to ensure they get numbers signing up for test builds in the future maybe.

Better not be a code for 1 month EA access , already got one the other day from them.

EDIT: Actually didn't we get limbo for free the last time? Or was that for something else? Can't recall now.

Really looking forward to getting home from work and getting this update! Any idea on the size it is going to be for non preview members?

Sad I know, but I am excited about this update :P

Probably 3.4 GB, though 2 is a possibility.

I'm not in the preview but checked for an update this morning and one was found @ 1,134MB. I left it working away when I headed out to work, looking forward to seeing the NXE at long last when I get home.

That's quite small alright, I did think it would be upwards of 3GB.

Anyone already have it installed yet? Outside of the preview guys of course :)

Are people in the preview program getting anything or is everyone else just getting exactly what we already have?

Wallpapers - There's a few great albums on the reddit xboxone sub, but what's the best way to get these to the xbox excluding a usb stick?

Tried saving them to my Onedrive and using the Xbox One app, but no option to set as wallpaper there and it won't let you screenshot the open image either.

It's actually ridiculous how difficult it is to set a custom background. I managed it by using Plex Media Server on one of the computers on the same network as my Xbox (I'm already using Plex so this wasn't difficult for me), add a Photo library to Plex, drop some images in there (they've got to be under 3MB in size), and then follow these instructions:

    http://majornelson.com/2014/10/22/heres-make-xbox-one-background/

It's entirely bizarre to me that you can't use Onedrive to set a custom background.

Edit: go here and vote for this to happen https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/253802-home-settings/suggestions/6599333-use-images-from-onedrive-app-as-background

Did Update System in settings and got the new UI. Bit of an anti-climax. It's better but nothing to sing about really.

This was my first impression also. Perhaps after usage the benefits will become clear.

Having said that, it is A LOT less cluttered which is enough for me to be happy with it.

Is new UI is for everyone now?

Is the leaderboard gone? Always found that to be good motivation.

Ah. Ok. Thanks. Is there a way I can view my xbox 360 arcade live titles I own without setting up the 360 ?

    http://majornelson.com/2015/11/11/global-rollout-of-the-new-xbox-one-experience-on-nov-12/

"Regardless of when you receive the New Xbox One Experience system update, the Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature will begin rolling out starting at 3:01pm/12:01 PM (noon) PT on November 12th. To start playing your Xbox 360 games on Xbox One after this time, refresh your Game Collection to see your pre-purchased, digital Xbox 360 titles from the Backward Compatible title list in your ready to install queue or simply insert the disc for a supported Xbox 360 title and download the game to start playing it on Xbox One."

I presume all 360 disc based games will require the disc to play once you've downloaded the game/patch ?
