    Hello,

I'm looking for some help please. I've got a regular 9-5 PAYE job but also get paid every few months for a nixer by aa separate company. It's not cash in hand, it's paid into my bank account and they would be paying tax etc.

I got paid less than the €3174 last year for this nixer, so do I need to use form 11 to declare this income?

    Little confused!

If you are getting paid directly by another company who deduct tax at source then they should be able to provide you with a payslip. If that is the case, it is PAYE income and you have no obligation to submit a Form 11.

I would check out that they have registered you as employee however to make sure. If you use the PAYE anytime service you should be able to see easily if that is the case or not. If they have not registered you, they should not be deducting tax.

Thank you very much. They don't deduct tax from the amount they pay me. I simply invoice them and they pay me for the full amount, but they are a fully registered company etc. My invoice does not include tax on it.

I think they would see me as a self employed contract worker perhaps?

Yes, in that case then you should declare the income to Revenue. You may then have to complete a Form 12 for the relevant income and related expenditure.
