Anyone hearing any info about potential cork minor panels and players in both hurling and football?? Anyone have a suggested panel? Cork needs success at this age group it isn't guaranteed to bring senior success but it can't hurt. Cork needs its future senior players to be used to beating kerry Tipp Limerick Clare Waterford

Acc to Examiner Ard Scoil have 9 intercounty minors in total and I assume that that excludes this years pretenders. Young lad Marnane ?? Clocked up 2-4 in first game and is most likely a clare minor tbis year alone.

TTM you mentioned Mickey Mackey from Adare, but hes not named in team in paper. Are they holding him in reserve or was he injured?

Surprised ASR werent able to put Midleton away as it seems they were totally reliant on Josh Beausang for scores.

i was fully expecting AG v Charleville in maybe Mallow yest but no fixture ? when will this be played?

I dunno if you are trying to troll here or something but this group won the Dean Ryan two years ago beating ASR.

Orizio they did beat ASR in the final i could be mistaken but think twas a v late goal that won it plus Asr were without peter casey thats not to say they wouldn't have won it had he played just clarifying a few points.

Can anyone tell me when is the Dean ryan final on this yr?TTM?

from what ive been hearing a panel has been assembled for both minor football and hurling. hurlers have been together with a few weeks now and are doing a bit of ball alley work and some gym also. football has only been put together very recently and i think they have a challenge game against ucc freshers coming up. should be a great test for them. few suspect names on both panels however and there will surely be a few changes come championship 2016

Why is it "astonishing" what hammies have achieved?? They are drawing from some strong hurling clubs and TBH should be doing better.

ok saying that hammies should be doing better is a ridiculous statement. newcestown is probably the strongest club and they will be competing at senior for first time ever next year. although there is a few clubs with strong hurling tradition a lot of their clubs underage is in decline. same cant be said about the likes of midleton killeagh fr o neills etc who have most their underage teams competing at premier 1 and premier 2 level

Dean Ryan final is the 11th November with if a team gets to the all ireland final on the 12th December
No it was not a late goal two years ago it was more a brilliant come back when Josh beausang got nine point from play and either team could have won but midelton fully deserved it at the same time
Yes casey was a huge loss but that was equally negated by garan manly who now playing with cork city loss and he was easily just as worth the same value imo to midelton as he has outstanding hurling potential but is likely to remain with soccer

Great to see Bandon doing so well. They beat my club in the qf of the county, but we had been on a session all week since winning the city. I didn't think they were that good and was surprised to see them win the county.
Their full foward line is very dangerous however , in particular their corner foward. If they get a good supply of ball they will do damage. But if that supply is stopped they won't score from elsewhere.

Seemed like a handy enough win for Nemo.

    Delighted for Gemma and Paudie!

    u-21 final a draw, 1-12 each

Duhallow had a man sent off after 21 minutes.

    Duhallow 0-9, Rockies 0-5 HT

Equalising goal for Duhallow in injury time in injury time.

It was bucketing down in Blackrock until 1.30, stopped then and match was 2.30, very poor crowd at it, l'd say a lot of people thought it would be called off again.

The pitch was a bit of a joke for hurling, in certain areas of the pitch players could not rise the ball and as the match went on it cut up something dreadful. At one stage a player was in position for a bouncing ball, the ball hit a divot and went the opposite way !!!

I couldn't real comment on the players on that pitch to be honest.

God only knows when the replay and the league semi will be now !!

    Ballygunner

When the going got tough second half glen had no answer apart from the skipper seemed nobody else could win dirty ball whereas ballygunner seemed to win every ball Hoggie apart from the goal never got into the game. Another year gone by and we are out straight away at the first hurdle well done to Newcestown though on they victory

Brutal second half from Glen Rovers. Bear in mind Ballygunner were missing their two best players.

Wouldn't blame Horgan he got at least 1-1 and a day like today wasn't going to suit him, he needed help and out around the middle of the field Ballygunner destroyed them second half and have some big hitters back there.

On a side note, what a special goal from Horgan. A privilege to witness it.

When Horgan plays it's like having 14 players. A waste of talent. He has no balls.
