How to become a taxi driver?

Hi, I am interested in becoming a taxi driver. I have a full driving licence but I'm wondering if there is some other thing I need at all? Thanks for your help.

Is that specific to Dublin only? I am currently in Dundalk, must I take a test that examines Dublin City?
