In all seriousness, I don't know which way to vote in the poll, I don't dislike blockbusters or whatever just for being popular, I've seen nearly all the Marvel universe movies in the cinema, adored the hell out of Pacific Rim and I've always got time for the latest Mission Impossible, but on the other hand I do love a lot of foreign movies too! And you know, a load of foreign language movies aren't snorefests either, The Raid 1 & 2 are better action movies than anything America has done in years.

You can like a cheesy popcorn movie, AND enjoy foreign or arthouse cinema too.

The fight in the kitchen at the end of Raid 2 (I think) is brilliant. Real Kitchen Hero stuff!

You're not a Movie Snob so ......... you can enjoy Citizen Kane and the Fast and Furious movies, they are not mutually exclusive.

The snob would say he appreciates Citizen Kane even if he didn't actually like it and would automatically dismiss the Fast and Furious movies without even watching them.

I've... I've never seen Citizen Kane or any of the Fast & Furious movies, neither interest me really. :o

You wouldn't say that the trailers for Fast and Furious tell you everything you need to know to avoid them?

I adore foreign films as they are realistic. Literally every Hollywood "romantic" movie pretty much has same story line. Someone meets someone else. They hate each other but by the end of the 90 mins they have fallen deeply in love. You watch a European love Film and it might 3 hours long. Yet at the end of it you dont know whether he/she was "the one".

I personally cant sit through a standard generic American love movie.

I already did. Lol. Though I'm more of a film "snob" as in I'm picky about which films I like. I leave the dross like magic mike, homeland, 24 and 50 shades of sh&te to my girlfriend.

The hangover. 40 year old virgin. Etc etc are surely children's films?
My favourite film is le haine. (The hate) I wouldn't call myself a snob. I just have refined taste. I watch things like the fast and the furious but they are far from 'good' movies. Just mass appeal drivel.

Please do not show your children The Hangover or The 40 Year Old Virgin .......... you would know that yourself if you watched them ......... you can also knock Ted off the kid's list.

I hate film snobs and will judge a film based on the plot and quality of the acting.

I have a friend that is reverse snob but is snobby about it, if you get me. She only likes romantic comedies and that is it. Anything else that is vaguely different is a no no. She doesn't like actions or dramas and heaven forbid it be a foreign film. If something isn't mainstream she won't even consider it. Once another friend and me convinced her to go see Inception and she still brings it up to this day.

She is the exact same about music. In her opinion if it isnt in the top 20 or if a band aren't playing the O2 they can't be any good.

    I don't have one.

People enjoy other types of art, music, food, places, sex, drugs, cars, and internet sites than me or you. Try not to let it spoil your day.

I will probably fall into this category as I dismiss movies without having seen them. Not so much 'that's obviously a load of crap' as 'I am sure I would not like it.'

I like films that make me think. That's pretty much what I look for when choosing films.

What is annoying also is the 'if you don't like Transformers you must be a snob' attitude.

Reverse snobbery is almost as bad tbh. If it's foreign/has subtitles/not lead by a famous actor some people wouldn't even consider it.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

This probably contradicts what I said previously but I think it's one thing to have an opinion on someone who likes what we consider to be crap films/music/tv but it's another thing completely to voice that opinion. We all judge but most of us manage to keep that judgement under wraps. Discounting people or labelling them arseholes for having different tastes to you is pretty unacceptable as well and is probably what you're trying to get at here. If a grown man of 40 told me his favourite band were Boyzone then by jiminey, I'd judge the hell out of him in my head but I'd be as nice as pie in person and we might even become friends. I wouldn't discount him as a person but I'd certainly label his taste in music as a heap of bollocks.

There is one type of film goer I dispise though, a flatmate of mine once went to see Jagged Edge before me, came back and told me the ending. Stupid bitch.

I saw consistently in the reviews that the new woman was worse than Megan Fox and took the chance.

The hangover caters for the age group that liked American pie and are now in their mid 30s. That and that 40 yr old Virgin are pure unadulterated crap. That's not me being a film snob. That's just reality.

I have seen them. With a horror in me I sat through them all. Not suitable for kids sure. Comedy though? It's a step removed from toilet humour. Give me a Coen brothers film any day.

It's worth pointing out that other countries are more than capable of making blockbusters and big, action-packed 'spectacle' movies also.

This is the movie I said I had lined up to watch soon:
