iphone 6 connects to my beats solo 2 wireless

but for some reason the ipad air 2 won't

any ideas ?

Pair, yes, but Not connect at the same time. Is your phone already connected to the Beats? if so, switch of BT on the phone, and connect the iPad.

Yeah, I had something similar recently where I was cursing and swearing at my crappy laptop and why it wouldn't connect to my Sony bluetooth headset so I could listen to Spotify while I typed.

Turned out the headphones were connected to my phone all the time.
