One child policy to be abolished in China

    Couples will be allowed two children, as the one child policy was having severe negative effects on the country.

    It's been much more Liberal in costal urban areas recently.
    It's a positive move but took too long to happen.

    Yeah they had relaxed it in rural areas to help out farming families.

    Funny story actually, the reason shops here will only let you buy 4 tins of baby milk at once is because the Chinese at one time bought up loads of the stuff to ship back home because the stuff they sell there is basically lethal!

    Yes, it's the same in HK, at the border going in to Shenzhen now you can only carry one or two tins; Hong Kongers were complaining that the mainlanders were basically clearing the whole city out of baby milk.

    Lets see if the removal of the one child policy will have a positive impact on the next milk auction... I suspect not.
