    And what about this:

Three girls go for an interview.
They are asked the usual blah blah. Then they ask "if you were walking through Busaras and you find a €50, what would you do?
Girl1: I'd pick it up quickly, put it in my pocket and then buy cream cakes for everyone in the office
Girl2: I'd pick it up, ask around if anyone lost some money. if not, I'd put it in my pocket, cream cakes for the office etc.
Girl3: I'd bring it to Store St. Garda station, give them my details adn if it isn;t claimed within X months, I'd go back and collect it.

    Which one got the job??
The one with the biggest tits innit?

And what group of people was he seeking to protect? What minority was he standing up for?

Do you understand what PC means, you should do if it's the bain of your life.

Ok, I don't like travellers but I cant say it, I think Its gone way over the top, You cannot express an opinion anymore but you are jumped on. If someone asks for your opinion, they should accept your opinion because they asked you. They may not agree but should accept it

I think Conor knows what PC means but is just saying your definition of it in the opening post is incorrect.

I found 70 euro at work a few months ago. Handed it in at reception but it was never claimed so they gave it back to me. I then gave it to charity because I'm awesome ;)

€50 ? I'd just keep it and think nothing more of it. But as was said, if I saw a person looking on the ground frantically I'd go over and ask the person did they lose something and what exactly did they lose, if the person said €50 note I'd just give it to the person and carry on. Now if it was around €400 or more in an envelope that I found, I'd have to find the person to give it back to imo. You just don't know how bad that person would feel if they really needed it and by mistake just lost it. A few hundred is a lot of money for some folk.

For a guy who seems to delight in winding people up, a lot is sailing waaaaaay over his head!

Actually about two years ago I went to an ATM to withdraw money and right there in front of me was 150e still in the cash dispenser, not a sinner around, bit of a mystery, but that went in my pocket to.
If you leave it in the atm eventually the machine takes it back and re-credits the account that took it out

I'm not sure exactly, but it happened to me before and I realised it about 2 minutes later and went back to the bank where they told me that it was most likely taken back in and it turned up again about a month later in my account. I'd never heard of this before though and maybe it doesn't work on all atms

Deffo wouldn't hand it in the Guards. Found a watch years ago and handed it in . went to the station a year later to see if it had been claimed. Guard behind the counter had no record of me handing it in. Surprise, surprise.;)

You left out the repeated bit about the baiting. If HR don't do something about it then it will be worth more than 50.....to the guy who was baited.

What planet are you on...he'll be laughed at and told get back to work.

Actually, he won't if there's a proper HR manager. If he is laughed at by HR or what passes for it they'd better get ready to face claims. Note plural: if baiting like this is fair game it will be rampant. The company will be found liable.

    What's "PC" about it?

Does "PC" now mean "something I dislike"?

Apparently having honesty and integrity is being a "knobhead"

That may be true of the initial thing but that's no longer the issue. The issue is the repeated baiting of someone whom the OP already knew had reacted strongly to the story. By OPs admission he repeated the dose a few more times. That makes it deliberate and intended. He needs to get his act together.

This morning at 7am found a 50 at Busaras Luas. Mentioned it to a guy(Knobhead) in work. He immediately jumped up on his soapbox and told me I should have handed it in, Store St Garda right beside you etc etc... So at 10.30 bought a sambo and said to him '' Only 46 left now'' and he blew a fuse ! So at lunchtime I topped up my phone and said ''Only 26 left now(Just to wind him up) and the ****er reported me for ''Not being honest'' to my manager ! So in the afternoon I got cream cakes for everyone and he hit the roof and walked out and went home ! What a bellend !
That's it really, I work with a knob. 50 is not worth my while reporting so I just spent it, The ''receiving guard'' probably would have done the same.
Would you just spend it ?

Regardless of the morality of the situation, i applaud you for the trolling of the Knobhead in work.

    Bravo sir.

Politically Correct, The bain of my life

Though to be fair, I probably wouldn't have handed it in either. Maybe put it in my pocket and checked something on my phone for 2-3 minutes in case someone came sprinting back in a panic, but otherwise best spent on getting some cakes or pizza or whatever for the office on that day, and a free takeaway for dinner.
