Yup, annoying. My kid is going mental and i don't have youtube to babysit her :/ Though on a positive note I don't have to listen to 5 speckled frogs any more.

I too know the pain that is 5 speckled frogs :(

Just noticed a fix for anyone having issues with hearing people in party chat.

While in party chat open the volume menu and adjust the headset volume and headset chat mixer volume. Just toggle them both slightly and then chat should click on. To open this menu press on the setting cog while in a party.

I have done it twice so far so it seems to work.

Where did you find that ? Would have been great to try that before I back out of Tue preview due to Party Issues.

It didn't work for me anyway. Installed the dash earlier tonight and was having the exact same problem as yourself, although I think it might be an issue with the Stealth 500's. I disconnected them completely from the xbox and plugged the crappy headset that comes with it in and could hear everyone in party chat.

I backed out myself for the moment, I must be one of the few who preferred the old dashboard! I preferred the horizontal menu layout, I did like the quick access menu on the left in the new dash though.

You'll all be be back on the new one in two weeks anyway. I didn't opt out but still haven't been upgraded to the new one yet.

I liked the old one too, it was easier to get to what I needed by going left or right and not top to bottom

Have you tried using the trigger buttons in the menus? eg. on the homescreen a single tap of the right trigger (I think, muscle memory vs actual memory here) will take you down to your pinned games and apps, and the same shortcut works on a lot of the other menus too. That little action makes the UI a lot easier to navigate, certainly as easy as the old dashboard anyway.

Ya, I knew about that and know I will be back on the new one soon but when I was trying to play some co-op Halo the other night and couldn't get party chat working it was very frustrating so I decided it would be worth it even if just for the couple of weeks.

Yeah but I mean to my pins, I had them to the left of the screen but now they are at the bottom, not just the pins but some other menu stuff.

Would be great if you had the option to edit the layout of the screen so you could for example have the movies tab as the first option to the right and whatever you would use the least as the last option

Right but what I'm saying is that with the new dashboard, when you start from the default view, you press one button (the right trigger) and you're immediately at your pinned games and apps. With the old dashboard, when you start from the default view, you press one button (the left shoulder button) and you're at your pinned games and apps.

So for me, once you know the correct button shortcuts, there's no change in the time taken to reach your pinned stuff. In fact, moving the pins to a vertical layout is a bit better because it allows you to pin an indefinite amount of tiles, rather than the small amount you could pin on the old dashboard.

My pins seem to be at the bottom though and not to the left or right.
I will have to check again when I go home tonight to make sure

They are at the bottom - my point is they're just as easy to reach as when they were to the left, it's a single button press either way (just a different button this time).

Yes, they are at the bottom. But if you press right trigger you go straight to the bottom, to where your pins are.

    Get your controller back yet?

Got the controller back yesterday and I got it now, sorry guys, I was thinking of the shoulder button and not the trigger button, my bad!
    Now I know

Is anyone else having the following issue....

System was working fine and I installed the latest update, now NAT is coming up a strict and I am unable to see my pins or launch IE, Netfliex and Youtube ( this crashes the xbox and it restarts.)

My sons xbox one and my 360 are all working fine.

Youtube is a known issue on the current build preview has but your NAT usually a result of your network equipment. Did you try unplugging everything (router, hub etc and the console itself)for a minute and restarting?

I have that NAT set to strict issue myself, have no issues with pins or joining games/party though, or any symptom of NAT being strict.

Checked IP and ports etc. all fine so I put it down to a bug in the dash incorrectly showing NAT as strict when it's open.

Got a 1gb or so update before work so I'm guessing that will be the NXOE.
