IT contractor, accounting software?

So I got made redundant last month and 5 weeks later I have a limited company and started my first contract. Question; what software do you use to track expenses, VAT, invoices, wages, tax.... etc? Yes I could use excel and Word, but I'd prefer a decent and not too expensive application. TIA Eoin

http://bullethq.com/ has a few new features, but add-ons are paid features. Also has an iOS app aswell
