I have never heard tell of a B16B head being better than a B18C head in my few years with Hondas, but we don't have a flow bench to check, ah well :D

    On solely flow characteristics there's actually evidence from tests undertaken by some engine tuners in the US that the b16a2 head flows the best out of the bseries line up, but obviously it doesn't get the same standard of valves or cams the b18 r gets but then the b16b has better cams and valves and retainers that are arguably as good as b18 r ones. Anyways getting back to the whole dreamer thread;

    Mercedes-Benz 220 Sports Convertible

Surely these aren't quite at this sort of price yet? It is indeed very clean but that price is a bit much in my eyes! Perhaps the Mercedes enthusiasts could shed some light.

B16B valves & retainers are the same as B18Cr ones but the 95-99 B18C cams aren't just as aggresive. Some of the 00 cars actually had the same cams as B16Bs.

But as said, back on topic lol

You could have this heap of junk Prelude for 4k...
    https://www.donedeal.ie/view/10595273

Imo this is worth a few hundred euro. Even at the Honda DOHC peak of the late 90s/early 00s they were undesirable.

Or if it's your thing you could get this for probably 1000 notes https://www.donedeal.ie/view/10625988

Personally I'm a b16, b18 guy. That white prelude guy should rename his ad to Honda Deluded.

He's selling two Preludes, that's the price for both together, one with an NCT until 2017.

The one you posted need an exhaust, is 2.2 but 2.0 on the book and the NCT is up in Jan. Hard to compare both really.

not really dreamer at all, miles is a tad on the high side but euro r's are pretty rare things. That would sell pretty easy in the uk.

What sort of money do 05 euro r's fetch in the UK?

Both from the same garage, yeah saw those alright. Is that normal pricing for them?

I wouldn't know for sure but I'd imagine so they have always had a bit of premium price to them givenue there rarity and there only getting rarer.

Smashing car a fried has one as basically his weekend car don't think he'll ever get rid of it.

I spose if your main option was to import from Japan you'd probably pay that much either way?

Doesn't the price of importing normally reflect on the value they sell for over here?

I think if anything over the last few years they have at least maintained there value if not increased in value.

Not only are they rare it's even harder to find one like most Hondas that haven't been molested or screwed or both.

Calling it Vintage is what adds the 0.

I messaged them and asked for the price to be clarified.....it's €7000

For ****s and giggles I've asked this
Other than give the car a good polish and clean up can I ask why it's nearly 8 times more expensive than any comparable Corolla that's for sale?

They must have got the currency wrong.
    Call seller - Victoria Sokolowska

    Maybe that's 7000 Polish Zloty's? (approx €1600)

7k. What a bunch of absolute muppets. I'm going to buy one now for €300 and polish it and get 7k for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,339 ✭✭✭brembo26

    WOW! €7.000

There is no way its worth that no matter how clean it is...

They added "2 keys available. Brand new tyres. Clean inside and out. Spare wheel. 7K. Seven thousand."

Also wtf does 2 keys available mean? If you ask nicely they'll give you the second one?

There should actually be 3 keys with it. 2 main keys (in black) and 1 valet key (grey colour)

    Second key costs extra:D

    Ridiculous price.

They won't get any phone calls. Some people think that an old car is a classic.

This car is not, and I really doubt it will be anytime soon.
