Blue discs stuck to footpath - Leeson St/Morehampton Road area

Was walking from Leeson St by O'Briens pub today out towards Morehampton Road. Lots of circular blue stickers on the path (near the Burlo/Doubletree Hotel) that looked like they were marking a trail or something. Anybody any idea of what they are there for?

Seen them the other day, they stop at the Burlo, so something to do with them I'd say

Yeah just short of the Burlo. Reason I am interested is that I have a use for those type of stickers if I knew where to get them. They have to be able to stick to concrete or pathways. Hopefully somebody else may be able to shed some light on what they are for.
