Now it's definitely certain that UTV Ireland will come under the ITV banner, where will that leave it with Sky, in other words will it remain on the Sky Irealand channel list or do ew go back to the old UTV situ as in other channels

So the big question is what is ITV going to do with UTV Ireland, it will be a big setback if they get rid of it

This paragraph tells a bit about their objectives. There is plenty of advertising revenue here for ITV and their EPG place is already established!

"UTV also owns 100 per cent of UTV Ireland, which launched a new dedicated channel for the Republic of Ireland on 1 January 2015. UTV Ireland is already the second most-watched channel in peak in Ireland and ITV intends to strengthen the channel further with ITV programming at its core."

They are hardly going to buy it and then remove it. Too early to tell the exact impact - for now, and the next few months expect no change.
