Transition between wood floor and door saddle

    Hi
    I'm thinking of putting in a wood floor.

    Putting it in is no problem but the planks will be perpendicular to the door saddle.

    I can cut the door saddle so that it's level with the floor but I think it might creak then and there might be play in between them.

    What's the best way to do it?

    On the other side of the saddle are lower tiles so the saddle is a good transition to that anyway.

    Most flooring suppliers sell lengths of trim either in metallic or in wood effect that might be able to help you out?

    Thanks is that how it's usually done or is there any 'tidier' way of doing it? Put in a trim elsewhere and it didn't look the best. Could you cut a groove and tongue in the planks and door saddle and glue them?

    The threshold bar is a much nicer finish as a gap will exist if you try to mitre one into the other
