Using info from airframes.org and planespotters.net these are the locations of the original A330-301's that EI had:
    EI-SNN (54) Air Asia X as 9M-XAA
    EI-DUB (55) Shaheen Air as AP-BKL
    EI-ORD (59) Scrapped a few years back
    EI-CRK (70) Shaheen Air as AP-BKM
EI-JFK (86) Shaheen Air as AP-BKN (Had been stored in 2012)

EI-LAX and EI-EWR (MSN 269 and 330 respectively) were the next additions to the EI fleet (1999 and 2000 respectively) and both are still (or back) in EI colours today.
The arrival of EI-DAA (397) in 2001 ended the EI system of airport codes as A330 regs.

EI-EPR is presently operating EI-386 SNN-LHR..... so i guess that this is the last flight.

Thanks for the info. A real shame to see them go, the A319s look sharp in the EI livery.

The booking engine had the 18th of October as the start date for the A320 service. Strange.

A319 was always down to do the service this AM. EI-DEL doing the honours from now on

Yep, watching flightradar there, EI-DEL just took off. EI-DEL positioned early this morning (Landed 06:57).

So there's now 2 A319's in the fleet? One at BHD and 1 at DUB?

If its true that IAG have negotiated slots for early A330s to be delivered to EI as early as next summer could we see the same thing happen for replacing their older 321's and 320's ? As the order list for these aircraft are long and replacement at this stage would take years!

Is this confirmed? or will it be announced tomorrow as part of the LH expansion?

EI-EPR (A319) being used on SNN today.
    Anyone know why?

Well MSN1742 and 1744 are showing Aer Lingus under "operator" on the Airbus production spreadsheet. "owner" is listed as IAG.
Am sure it will be mentioned as part of the launch tomorrow.

Interesting article, which also seems to indicate that the 767 won't be back next year, which isn't all bad
(The above was posted in the Shannon Airport Thread 2014/15)

I'm confused by it now. The article states that the 757 from the early JFK goes to IAD, but that 757 was from Shannon, so if the 767 doesn't run where is the 757 coming from? And EWR's gain is not JFK's loss, by the time EWR starts the early JFK would have been finished anyway and EWR is going to be an A330

They have worded it badly but they are getting an extra 757. One for IAD one for YYZ and the other two at SNN.

Ah then IAD will revert back to an A330 in September? That 757 will be used for Hartford?

I wouldn't rule out the 103/2 schedule yet...it wasn't announced until November last year. The introduction of the DL 767 into Shannon next summer might have a bearing on what they do...

I would guess the start date of BDL is directly linked to aircraft delivery.

I have a quick question I noticed recently EI have been operating a lot of what's called "extra" flights for e.g. an AMS extra or a ACE extra etc. What are these extras ? Are they simply charters or what ? They happen way to often to be rescue flights so I'm confused as to what's going on ?

Was down in Malaga last week and flew on an A330 really delighted to get such an unexpected surprise. I take it this is a regular thing though?

Yeah between May-October, at times from end of March though to October. Always the 07.00 departure ex Dublin.

Was a real treat. Is this the only European destination that the A330 flies to?

Came home on Ryanair. Such a contrast.

It does 2 flights per week to Faro between May-October however there is a question over this for next summer but Malaga will continue as an A330 on the 07.00 departure.
