help - Radiators not heating!

    My radiators are barely heating and with a baby in the house, I need to keep it cost!! Someone told me that the level pictured has to be pulled up!? Is that correct?

    Really can't afford a plumber right now so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

      While watching the gauge, open the red valve until you get the black needle to about 1. Then close it. Check your rads for air and do the same again to get that needle to 1. Is it a regular 2 story house?

      The pressure regulating valve would do some of the work if working and correctly set, but do as above and it should sort you.

      Hi, thanks for replying, ya it's a two storey semi D.ok so lift red level up until needle is at 1. Check radiators for air... Do I assume there's air if it's cold in spots or am I as well to bleed them all? Then check needle again and life red level if necessary?

      Yep. That's it. If they are cold on top, probably air. Just see how they go after getting that pressure up.

      Mostly if people try to bleed radiators with no pressure, they let air in rather than out.
