Very stylish estate car they must have made some impact in '62 when they were launched.
They did! They were the original repmobile. Company reps started travelling further from base and had loads of space to carry their wares.

Spotted the tail end of this on Saturday last. Thought it was a Chevette, but turned out to be a Kadett. Still very restorable. In Co Leitrim.

always interesting stuff parked there, a beetle a (rover?) mini and a mk2 escort.

not too up to speed with the intricacies of some classic models, but there's always something cool outside that house, i pass it daily.

Mk1 FF, original owner was from a well known family in Patrickswell, Limerick. Car was the first FF in Ireland, and he was also the first to own a MK1 Interceptor (TIU---) which AFAIK has been sold out of the country in the last few years.

^ @ wingnut, what gives with the "new 2016" Alvis?

Is it newly produced to original plans? I wonder what kind of mechanicals it has, are they faithful to the original, or a modern take on things like they've done with others such as the Jaguar E type??

Red Triangle, the guys who do Alvis parts are making them. Sounds like fairly original style chassis etc. with modern oily bits:
