Murray considering missing Tour Finals in London to prepare for Davis Cup final if on clay. That would be a big sacrifice!

It would take a lot away from it too ... Djokovic Federer final for sure ...

Although if he did manage to win the Davis Cup it would be remarkable as with the players they have and given their past history it's hard to see them winning it again. Especially if he had to do it on clay.

Davis Cup final will be played in Ghent on clay. Chris Kermode has said that the WTFs are mandatory so looks like Murray's gonna have to suck it up and play both.

Four wins out of four for Bencic over Wozniacki this year and into the Tokyo final she goes to face Radwanska. Will be #7 if she wins the title, which she most likely will. Wouldn't actually mind Radwanska winning that one though, she's had a fairly sh*tty year, the least we can do is give her Tokyo.

Begu-Sasnovich final in Seoul.. that'll be a crowd pleaser.

Another scalp for Konta. She beat Simona Halep in 3 sets in Wuhan. Disappointing for Halep who was 5-1 up in the final set. Johanna has been on a roll since Wimbledon. She also became British #1. Poised to break into the top 50 soon. Very impressive seeing as she was around 160 at the start of the year.

Serena pulls the plug on her season, withdrawing from both Beijing and Singapore. I must say, I think it's incredibly poor from her. I mean, she's still had an amazing season and to shut it down cause she lost to Vinci. Smacks of immaturity.

Anyway, if Sharapova withdraws too then Singapore will be a shambles.

I have no problem with Serena withdrawing. If she'd gone and played half arsed the way she's done times before everyone would be on her back about that too. I can't imagine what it would be like to have the year she's had and to be within a hair of history only to lose it. It's not at all surprising to me that she needs some time away from the sport.

I wonder are we not supposed to realise that cowboyBuilder and the_monkey are the same person? :pac:

Anyway, so good to see Muguruza finishing the season so strongly. Highly likely she'll finish the season #3 and very close to #2. Should be a contender to win her debut slam in 2016. Hope she doesn't go and lose to Bacsinszky now!

Nadal/Djokovic final in Beijing, surely that'll be pretty straightforward for Novak.

Wasn't much of a final, Djokovic won handily enough 6-2, 6-2.

Federer out in the 2nd round in Shanghai - to a qualifier!

What happened with Federer today, just a bad day at the office?

Apparently it's tough for him to adjust to Shanghai, last year he was saying he was lucky to get through the 1st rounds - and he won the tournament.

    This year, not so lucky.

I see Bouchard is taking the USTA to court over her concussion. Interesting to see how that goes.

    Wow ... interesting indeed

Eugenie Bouchard sues after concussion following US Open fall

Eugenie Bouchard has begun legal action against the United States Tennis Association after suffering concussion following a fall at the US Open.
The Canadian slipped in the locker room at the Grand Slam event in September.
She withdrew from the tournament prior to a fourth-round match and pulled out of her comeback event at the China Open on 5 October because of dizziness.
The lawsuit alleges the 21-year-old world number 39 slipped on "a foreign and dangerous substance" in New York......

I just hope it doesn't affect the integrity of the game.

I'm not sure what she expects to get out of them. Medical expenses and loss of earnings seems fair but how can you prove a figure for loss of earnings for a tennis player? Especially given the year she's been having? She's also been getting some questionable medical advice given she flew all the way to China while still suffering symptoms.

I think she's right to sue, I just don't know what she's hoping to get.

Yeah, I'm not sure that's a clever move from Genie at all to be honest.

Yeah, I'm not sure that's a clever move from Genie at all to be honest.

If the way her people told it is how it happened I think she's well within her rights to sue them. They're negligence led to her sustaining a serious injury. It's just a question of how much she tries to get out of them and what she does with the money. Apparently her lawyer said they're going after "millions and millions".

If she was going after loss of earnings, she'd owe them money after last year. Sounds to me like she's setting herself up for early retirement.....

Not quite fully back, but getting there. Stan stopped playing properly one Nadal went up a break. That said I thought the match again the joker wasn't as one sided as the score. But if he keeps going like this I expect Nadal to be giving Novak a serious run for his money next year.

not sure about the last bit, if Djokovic keeps up the level he is now playing at I don't think nadal can stick with him anywhere except clay. Djokovic to my eye is currently playing at a higher level than 2011, when he beat nadal 6 or 7 times. Nadal isn't going to add anything new to his game, so even if he reaches his 2011 level again (which was high) I think he looses against djokovic 4 times out of 5.

it is good to see him having one last kick at it though.

Nah , Nadal is back and will dominate again , like a bad smell he just won't piss off

good third set here in tjonga / nadal, both players have a first serve in of 85/86%, both playing well.

    Draw for Singapore made.

    Red Group:
    Halep
    Sharapova
    Radwanska
    Pennetta

    White Group:
    Muguruza
    Kvitova
    Kerber
    Safarova

Haven't a clue how it's all going to work out tbh, but Muguruza has momentum.
