Yeah, I particularly enjoyed the Barry Davies impression. The pauses and indignation were just right.

The lads have some great attention to detail in these skits. In a world where half the population are obsessed with cookery programmes, it's good to see there is a place for nostalgic retro football presentation comedy.

I was going to take the car tonight through O'Connell Street with 10 lads on the roof with flags to celebrate as was norm in the 80's but sadly I think times have changes on what a blind eye can be thrown to.

wasn't great last night, but the John Finnerty impersonation was scarily accurate

The ads last night were absolutely brilliant.

I'd imagine a lot of people in negative equity had to switch off. Those of us whom the Celtic Kitten passed by could gloat in peace. The days when you could pick up an apartment block in Bulgaria when you popped down for a pack of fags.

....and we're off to Saipan - sure nothing could go wrong - we'll win the ****ing thing. Aye indeed.

they really make the liam brady character out to be a proper thicko in a funny way. Johnny ronans underwater city in roscommon where you can look up and see the fish

Bonzo the dog definitely brings back some creepy memories....

And it's not going to be entirely devoted to "soccer" this time. They're covering GAA in the first match.

Anyone else watched the new ones? The Ireland v France 2000 one was absolutely gas. Their George Hook impression cracks me up every time

From someone who loves Apres Match, these past 3 shows from the new series have beyond disappointing.

The same constant joke reappearing in commentary of mentioning the same 1 player - BOD in the rugby edition, same in the NIR match.

My only favourite bit is when they use the old ads, but I may as well be watching Reeling In The Years.

Think they're much better covering recent matches - as they're much better with doing Dunphy, Brady etc.
