Avalon Merchant Services

    has anyone any recent experience with Avalon Merchant services?
    Price wise they are reasonable, do they transfer funds on time and resolve service issues promptly?

    I've heard good reports about Worldpay being very reliable service but they are a bit pricey starting out.

    Always be weary of the Acquiring banks, they generally tend not to tell their prospective customers about the surcharges (PCI DSS non compliance fee for instance can be in excess of 25E p/m)

    Happy to chat with you more about the best providers out there!.
    Unfortunately there are a lot of ones to be weary of!

    Avalon or Elavon

    If its Elavon, they are very good and have been around for many years.

    They used to be part of Bank of Ireland, but I donlt they are anymore.

    Their customer service is based in Cherrywood & Arklow wheras many of the others are based overseas or use 3rd party clal centres which can be an utter pain.

    PCI Dss compliance is very easy and it is self certified online - nothign to be afraid of and is completed in 2 minutes. Be wary of any company scaring you with "others MAY charge" stories
