I love Christmas, and I buy things ALL YEAR ROUND for it. And I even wrap them when I buy them.

If anyone has a problem with that, I'll beat them up.

    I won't really.

    Don't go near a shop.

Unless it's tesco when the booze go cheap..

I spend 50 a week on Xmas presents..
so everything is done by early Dec..

I buy presents for 5-6 people tops, 3 decent presents for my BF, mother & sister & then candles etc for BF s mother etc., it's really not that stressful.

If I'm not running around town, buying One4All vouchers at 5pm on Christmas Eve, then it's not really Christmas.

It's not stressful, but is much easier financially if you're buying one or two things a week in the run up to Christmas.

    I'll be buying for -

    Parents (two).
    Sisters (three).
    Grandmother (one).
    Godmother (one).
    Godfather (one).
Friend (three, something for her, her 4 year old and the baby due in November).
    Boyfriend (one).
    Boyfriend's family (five people).

So yeah, I'm gonna be starting this week.

My list isn't far from yours..
But I have a few extra family friends who come to mine each Christmas. .
Present could only cost 20 euro.
But it's easier to have it than not on the day!!

I feel happier starting early.. I also get loads from sale on the sites..

I don't really do Christmas presents. I'm from a large family, so we always do the "Secret Santa" thing, so that's just one present to buy. Other than that, I'll buy something for my son (but he's not even two yet, so doesn't really understand Christmas and won't expect much.) My friends and I don't buy for each other. And then there's just the work Secret Santa too. So yeah, the small bit of shopping I've to do can wait until December!

I buy for Hubby, kids and their partners grandkids and the dog. I usually get small things in January sales and one big thing bought Nov/Dev.

One4all have a policy now that ,if the voucher is not spent in a certain time frame, they deduct money from the value of the voucher.

This is why I hate Christmas.

Like to have it done by end of November cos I hate town in December, too packed and you can't shop in peace!

Have some of it done already anyway

2.7 A monthly inactive balance charge of €1.45 (or the credit balance on the Card, if lower) will be charged after the Card has been in issue for 12 months. This charge will start to be applied from the following month and will continue until such times as the balance on the Card is zero and this agreement is terminated.

I always like to start my Christmas shopping early, then there's no rush and stress when the big day comes around, you're already sorted ages in advance. :D

In fairness though, if you can't manage to find somewhere to spend a One4All voucher in 12 months, you deserve that!

Same with every gift card that utilises visa / mastercard technology systems in every country.

I have a dedicated Christmas savings that I specifically get back at the beginning of December for the pressies and the shopping and whatever. If I'm smart about it and buy things from now til then and not need to use my savings. I can use the savings for stuff just for me! Like a holiday or something. I didn't do that last year but I'm going to try to this year. Saw my first present today, haven't bought it yet though.
